Bolton Wanderers
Another winding up order from HMRC and the chief of Finance has left after just 4 months in the role.
That is four Finance chiefs in the last 12 months.
What a mess

Re: Bolton Wanderers
I would not lament their passing too much. I remember too well their fans' arrogance and dismissive attitude towards us in January 2010. I hope they struggle for at least a decade.

Re: Bolton Wanderers
Oh, we remember well as many of them laughed their little cotton socks off at those peasants from Burnley, as Owen (their 9 goal leg-end) jumped ship with his infamous '10 years ahead' bull shi te.
Fcuk 'em.
Fcuk 'em.

Re: Bolton Wanderers
If they were ten years ahead, the leg-end certainly played a massive part in taking them many years behind us.

It may have been down to the fact that the date on his cheap Casio watch was wrongClaretTony wrote:If they were ten years ahead, the leg-end certainly played a massive part in taking them many years behind us.

Re: Bolton Wanderers
As soon as heard their former player on the radio when he took over I thought they were in trouble. Didn't sound credible at all.
Re: Bolton Wanderers
They'll be playing at aGigg Lane and the ground etc will be sold or what's left of it.

It's the other bloke who sounds dodgy to me. He's got control now. What a mess.Blackrod wrote:As soon as heard their former player on the radio when he took over I thought they were in trouble. Didn't sound credible at all.

Re: Bolton Wanderers
All the rumours players are awaiting bonuses and wages from last season but yet I am sure they have signed 3/4 players in the last couple of weeks.
Two questions here:
1. Surely when payments haven't been made and the PFA take over to help with paying wages then the club are put under an embargo?
2. If you were a footballer and you knew the stories surrounding the club in regards to money problems and wages not being paid, why would you sign for them?

Re: Bolton Wanderers
Contract negotiations should be interesting.
"Here's an offer of £4k a week.... we can't guarantee you'll get it on time, if at all, but the offer is there"

When someone feels the need to pull your pants down in public and give your behind a damn good slap, all the while laughing and saying how backward you are, it is very comforting to see karma levelling the score.
Stuff them.
Stuff them.

Watching the demise of SuBo has been one of the funniest episodes in football in my lifetime. His autobiography should be a gas !!!Zom Zom wrote:He had the world at his feet until his massive head got too heavy for his neck and he fell over it.
Re: Bolton Wanderers
The latest FD to depart (Shaun Mchugh) is an old friend of mine, a really good bloke. He was FD at Crystal Palace under Simon Jordan. I will see if I can get an angle (but nothing that would get anybody sued).
