First few away games...

Post by whentheballmoves » Wed Jul 19, 2017 8:17 pm

Just wondering if anyone knows when the Chelsea and spurs games will go on sale for us away fans? I believe both already on sale for the home fans. Just getting a bit nervous with holidays, etc.. coming up! Cheers in advance... :)

Usually tickets go on sale 3 weeks in advance, so Chelsea should be anytime now.

That's what I thought... Spurs is the one I'm most interested in!

Chelsea having a bit of a time of it this summer, Spurs at Wembley, that's enough to raise any away teams game. Man City, you just never know what team will turn up. Everton, despite their signings will miss Lukaku big time. I reckon a possible upset in there and a couple of draws and our home games are all winnable in the opening few weeks.

It's the time to play them before they have settled.

Just looked on Burnley website - and I'm a little confused:

"Away match tickets will go on sale roughly 4-6 weeks before the date of the match."

and, "Tickets for away Premier League matches go on sale 28 days before the match."

We play Chelsea on Saturday 12 August - that is 23 days from now.

But, no news yet of the Chelsea tickets going on sale.

You expect content on the club website to be correct?

Is this your first season supporting Burnley? ;)

The website is obviously incorrect if it has information like that, but we were still waiting for Chelsea to send us the tickets a couple of days ago when I asked about them.

Hi MACCA, I'll answer your second question first: 1967 was when I started going to home games. No one had websites back then.

Yes, I know the difficulties of getting things right. I can't say whether standards are slipping. The website has obviously gone through a re-design - this seems to be the "fashion" these days. Maybe technology requires the re-design or maybe it is the marketing and advertising guys that are pushing this. Of course, it's all a bit "moot" if all the website designer do is fill the site with obviously incorrect information.

I just want to make sure I don't miss our first game of the season. Most of my games these days are down south.

I also see that the BBC has redesigned parts of their football pages. In my opinion they've made the fixture list a lot worse.

The London Cycle event is being prepared near me - road signs going up telling of road closures on 30 July. Signs each end of Hampton Court Bridge say that the bridge will be closed "Uutill 19:30." What is that? 2 letters wrong in what should be a 5 letter word.

It should get back to them pretty quick, then they can alter it accordingly.

This site is a lot quicker and easier to navigate for information IMO.

If there isn't the answer already here, someone will have or get the information very quickly.
