Time the window closed when the season starts

Having the first few weeks of the season disrupted by transfer speculation and player movement is ridiculous.
Time that the start of the season meant the window closed, even perhaps a fortnight before, then we would enter the season with teams settled, rather than speculation and uncertainty still reigning.

Agreed, maybe to close the Wednesday before the season starts. Must take focus from the early matches when early points and a good start are so important.

Tend to agree with both windows. The last one was particularly odd as clubs were playing the same night as the window closed. Wasn't that the night we announced Brady at half time?!
Don't think it bears so much on the summer transfer window as much as the January one as it takes a few weeks for clubs to find their bearings anyway. But would agree it should close when the season starts.
