Re: ARTICLE: Clarets are ready for CEE Cup semi-final
Free kick not conceded by Evans but he let his man go and just pointed to his fellow defender who was on the man with the ball.
Poor defending and hate it when players let their man go and then point to a teammate, who already had his man, as the free player runs past.
Makes it look like it's the other players fault and indeed in this case it was the secondary defender who gave the free kick away, as he was exposed.
Boyd was doing that to TD for a spell they played together, infuriates me.
instead of raising your hand and acknowledging your error you point, thus apportioning blame often followed by the two flat hands, roll of the eyes and then the turn away with a shake of the head.

I wonder where they'll take them? They must be growing goalframes at this place. I've never seen so many. It's like an enclosed Hackney Marshes.

How come they kept taking pens after we were already 3-0 up? Can the Ref not count?

Why are we still tsking pens?
As we celebrate.
I think their first might have sneaked inside but was posted as a miss?

Great viewing! Those lads look happy -When's the final?
Re: ARTICLE: Clarets are ready for CEE Cup semi-final
The first one went in, but the counter said they missed!
I thought the same but when you rewind it, its clearly a goal for their first

Hard lines on the Turks though, they were a good team and arguably better than us, but their nerve went in the shootout.

Re: ARTICLE: Clarets are ready for CEE Cup semi-final
I was watching the shoot out, no phones attached (even if there was commentary).
As per above, couldn't figure how it didnt stop at 3-0 when opponents could only then get a max of 2.
Maybe some official's maths is no good.

Re: ARTICLE: Clarets are ready for CEE Cup semi-final
I thought the first one of theirs was in, that would explain it so it was 4-1 rather than 3-0.
Re: ARTICLE: Clarets are ready for CEE Cup semi-final
First pen for them went in so at that point it was 3-1LeadBelly wrote:I was watching the shoot out, no phones attached (even if there was commentary).

Having played it back - definitely 4 -1 on pens. Burnley's winning penalty taken by Kwazinkosi who played excellently at left back
