Great news.
Should be able to budget a bit better now we know all the potential outgoings.

Undisclosed, but that won't stop people claiming to be "in the know" about what the fee was, as well as how much he's on, how much we've spent in total this summer, and how much is still available to spend this window and beyond.

We are so fortunate to have such well informed people on this forum. ;)

Quite often when the speculation starts about a fee, you get the two extremes like we did with Gray from Brentford. We paid under £6m but the reports were £9m. The truth was, because Luton exposed it, was that we paid under £6 million for him at the time but add ons such as winning promotion and staying up has taken it up to just over £9m.

I'm not in the know by the way :D

Only 9 million for Gray?

It was at least 10 million according to some of the experts on here. Still, what's a million in this day and age... chicken feed :)

I love the words 'agree' and 'fee' within the same sentence.

Good news to get it resolved early.
The Danny Ings saga was longer than waiting for a new series of GOT.

So we paid out £9M for Gray then? Doesn't sound too extreme.

In almost every case the fee which gets reported, the headline fee, is the higher one. The bleatings of Burnley fans when the Gray fee was reported as £9m did my head in. It was childish.

Radio Leeds understands between 6 and 7m although just putting Leeds and understands in a sentence seems far fetched.

The fee was under £6m and would have stayed at that had we not both gone up and stayed up. I imagine we've had to pay a few clubs this summer having stayed up.

Leeds end quoting £6 rising to £7m whilst Burnley quoting £5m Probably £5.5 with add-ons breaking the £6m and heading to £7m if all goes well. Fair for both sides and they get their money now.

Very big lad. Shocked at how well built he is. He sure is a unit. Think tonights performance shows Ward has the shirt still. Impressive as he was there were a few times where he didnt seem to know his place within the framework, whether not overlapping or picking up the apare man at throw ins. Very good going forward. Will say it now ...... England cap in 2 years

Very impressed by him tonight and deceptively quick. Ward will have a real fight on his hands. Thought Jack Cork oozed class throughout. Scarcely wasted a ball and it's certainly good to see him back.

Yes i suspect most of our deals have add-ons if we stay up, very sensible way to do business, of course the monopoly money people on here won't appreciate this is added to any outgoings and has to be budgeted for.
