0-2, this Everton side would give our first team a good game by the looks of it. An absolute peach of a pass

There's a gulf in class so far but do you really think that they'd give a Premier League team a good game? Half or more of their squad may never even make it at a decent level in the game.

They have a very good Cat 1 academy so this was always going to be a tough game

Just going to say. We only just got Category 2 and we're in the final against them. Which in itself is testament to us heading in the right direction.

Lincoln beat us so I don't see why this talented Everton team couldn't avoid a drubbing.

One off cup game, you're right, anything can happen. But play these 100 times and any lower end Premier League first XI would be way out on top.

They've some decent players, without a doubt and it shows we've a way to go, but that's not a bad thing. As with the first team, keep slowly progressing.

Yeah obviously, I was talking about a one off game. I think we'd struggle to hammer this Everton youth team, 2-0 win sounds about right.

Ignoring the fact that seasoned pros would probably play in a lower gear against a side like this, the likes of Walters, Bardsley, Barnes, Vokes, Gray, Defour, Mee, Tarkowski, Ward would bully them off the park. They'd be physically far superior and have too much nouse. Not that we will ever know, but that's my view :)

Maybe I'm seriously over hyping the gulf in class here, I think this is only the 3rd time I have watched a Burnley youth team play so I have little knowledge of how close youth teamers in general are to the first teamers. At least Dyches style of play has infected the whole club including the youth team, must be a positive.

Very much like the last hour of the semi. our midfield can't get hold off the ball whilst they pass it round for fun and then launch a runner.
0-2. it isn't over yet.
It's not what they can do at 16/17 it's the standard of coaching and are they willing to listen or do they just think they are Billy Bigbollocks.

Everton do look a different class over all, but we have a couple of good lads out there, I particularly like the look of Younger (Ben Mee?), and Woods has great energy.

you see youth team players that look big, strong and fast at youth level come on at first team level and look undersized and get knocked off the ball and even be off the pace.
