Loan market

Post by TopCat » Thu Jul 27, 2017 12:13 pm

Thoughts on what Sean Dyche will do?
Last year in Flanagan and Bamford was shocking.
Can we get players from Clubs when not offering game time?

He will more than likely bring people in on loan who will be there as back up. If and when they don't play much they will be labelled bad signings next summer.

last year loans were quite exciting but were a damp squid, from memory only I do not think SD as done well out of the loan market but as always I prefer to see players that come in on deals where they want to play for our club, not get experience for another club.

Most folk on here want us to sign a pacy attacking wide player.
I've been scratching my head and can't think of a single British player who would be good enough but affordable. This then leaves the foreign markets As this is usually a risk I'm starting to think we might get one in for 12months with an option to buy.

Better a damp squid than a moist pollock.

Only sort of loan option I'd contemplate this summer is someone on loan with an option to buy, or possibly if Gray goes late in the window, a younger striker who can replicate Gray's pace.

i dont like loanees too much, they dont give 100% and this is what we need here, players that go into tackles half hearted or dont chase lost causes are too common a sight. Lets just buy a couple more players and stay away from the loan market

I would like to see us loan a couple of relatively unknown youngsters who are surplus at one of the big clubs, they would bring extra to the squad but without the big expectations of say Flannagan and Bamford who both disappointed.

We've not had much luck with loans, Keane aside. As Spice said. A player with an option to buy but I'm struggling to think of anyone. Vincent Janssen at Spurs would be someone I'd be looking at. Look at the bigger picture, not just his poor strike rate. His ball retention and close ball skills are excellent to feed off. Whether Spurs would loan him is another thing.
