Got his hardback book when it came out but it's been at daughters and one of her dogs chewed the cover so she got the paperback for me to read on hols. Super read (is there more in this second edition?). We haven't seen the last of him - he won't lie down.

Do not go gentle into that good night, Old age should burn and rave at close of day; Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Though wise men at their end know dark is right, Because their words had forked no lightning they Do not go gentle into that good night.

Saw a Range Rover outside Turf yesterday. J1 BTN. Would that be Joey?
Re: Joey (sorry, Joseph) Barton
He's been very active on Instagram over the last couple of days with pictures of himself in Iceland, doubt that the vehicle you saw was his.

Wow!!! Shakespeare being quoted on "Up the Clarets". I, for one, never thought I would live to see the day. Maybe one day Sir Joseph will be up foe an OBE? If Jimmy Mac could do it, why not our Joey?

I can cope with Jim White, and he does get some decent interviewees in, but that's all I listen to.

Re: Joey (sorry, Joseph) Barton
It's not - of course - Shakespeare - as Rowls correctly pointed out, but just to mention that I doubt there's a day goes by when Shakespeare isn't quoted on this site.ontario claret wrote:Wow!!! Shakespeare being quoted on "Up the Clarets". I, for one, never thought I would live to see the day.
Here's a few - (others may wish to add others):
"For goodness sake" - Henry VIII
"Neither here nor there" - Othello
"Mum's the word" - Henry VI, Part II
"Eaten out of house and home" - Henry IV, Part II
"All's well that ends well" - All's Well That Ends Well
"With bated breath" - The Merchant of Venice
"A wild goose chase" - Romeo and Juliet
"Too much of a good thing" - As You Like It
"A heart of gold" - Henry V
"Such stuff as dreams are made on" - The Tempest
"Dead as a doornail" - Henry VI, Part II
"The world's mine oyster" - The Merry Wives of Windsor
"Send him packing" - Henry IV
"Vanish into thin air" - Othello
"Own flesh and blood" - Hamlet
"There's method in my madness" - Hamlet
"Wear your heart on your sleeve" - Othello
"Full circle" - King Lear
"There's the rub" - Hamlet
