Re: ARTICLE: Burnley offer ticket refund
Very well done Burnley Football Club, the right thing to do.
Make the offer, it's then up to the fans whether they take it up, or let it go back into the club.

Re: ARTICLE: Burnley offer ticket refund
excellent from the club. Now needs Hannover to pony up to cover trip costs for those that perhaps traveled material distances to attend the game, and can demonstrate direct and applicable costs
Re: ARTICLE: Burnley offer ticket refund
Any indication that they will at least discuss the Twix situation?

I wonder if they are offering the refunds to Hannover fans? Minus the cost for the damaged seats of course.

They didn't need to do that. It might now stop the moaners having a go at our well run club. Well done BFC.

Keep mine and my two kids. We saw a game and the kids got an idea how it was watching football when I was their age!

Great gesture by the club - and great response from posters above. I wasn't there on Saturday - only "attended" via updates on this board. I posted Saturday evening (or Sunday, time flies) that a donation to charity should fix any refund questions.

Re: ARTICLE: Burnley offer ticket refund
Club can donate my brass aswell for 2 reasons..........
1- I can't be bothered
and
2- It would cost me more than £10 to go get a refund as I bought over the counter at the ticket office, so I'd have to go over in person.
Great decision by the club though, and I hope most folk put it down to experience and allow local charities to benefit. We can then move on and look forward to the return leg next July

Re: ARTICLE: Burnley offer ticket refund
Think a few people aren't going to be very happy, there was someone outside the jimmy mac asking for match tickets as he collected them and I saw scores of people giving there tickets to him

Re: ARTICLE: Burnley offer ticket refund
Good gesture from the club,i wonder if BFC or Hannover are footing the bill as that may get fans thinking twice whether to claim the refund or not?

Any chance of getting a refund for pretty much every single home game during the 80's?

Happy for mine to go to charity too. I was certainly in favour of the club offering refunds but I think the gesture was far more important than the monetary value.

Disgraceful. We should rearrange the match with Hannover and get free entry! We have been fleeced here!
Re: ARTICLE: Burnley offer ticket refund
Re giving the supporters our money back, or donating it to charity. May I suggest the charity that should benefit should be the Barry Killby's Prostrate Cancer appeal. In a way we're giving back to the club, what they've returned to us.
Hopefully the club will be checking the names and addresses of ticket holders, to make sure the ones collecting stubs from supporters don't keep returning to the ticket office, to make money from their scam.

Hope it goes to a worthy cause like the prostate cancer appeal or Pendleside hospice, would be nice to know where our money is going if we chose to donate

Re: ARTICLE: Burnley offer ticket refund
The community are distributing the money to local charities and I would suspect the hospice will be one of the main beneficiaries.Bfc wrote:Re giving the supporters our money back, or donating it to charity. As for returning the tickets, you will need your Clarets Number to reclaim so there can't be a money making scam because once your Clarets Number has got its refund, that will be it. The bloke stood outside at the end of the game collecting tickets was also outside Tallaght after the Shamrock game.
Re: ARTICLE: Burnley offer ticket refund
That's a great gesture by the Club. Well done to all concerned. Delighted that funds will be donated to local charities. Were in.

So it looks like he is a genuine ticket collector and not a scammer, as was being alluded to by some on here.

No idea why he's doing it but he was in Dublin with the same sign.
Re: ARTICLE: Burnley offer ticket refund
There are quite a few people/groups who collect and then swop tickets. I collect them for a Burnley fan from GT Yarmouth.
