Chelsea champs versus Mighty Clarets

Post by IanMcL » Sat Aug 12, 2017 11:38 am

It's here. The start to a new season for our Mighty Clarets.
Team and fans locked together in harmony and common purpose.

The news of Madge resigning had been met with relief from Sean Dyche and the squad. They know everything is now in place for a great start.

I am off to the match now, so have a great one, everyone.

Come on you Clarets!

The difference between success and failure this season? A hyphen.

I do hope Made is not resigning :D

But seriously, enjoy the game today. Can't wait!

Hi Ian, I've seen the other post. I know you mean that Madge has re-signed - and has not "done a runner" and resigned.

Leaving now for first game of the season - from South West London.

3 points will be fantastic.

Mrs Broke has invited a house full around this afternoon. I'm going to be totally rude and watch my beloved Clarets live on Sky Ireland.
They can enjoy watching me bouncing around the place at 5pm when we walk off with 3 points.

Tuning in from sunny Malaga off to the Lounge bar shortly 3 points would be a Monmouth task but doable early pickings a point would be also called

2-0 to Burnley at an absolute canter. We'll be safe by Christmas, in the Europa League next season.

Liverpool getting off to another flying start to the season. Down 2-1 at Watford. I actually think Watford will do ok this season. I like their manager, think he's a goodun.

There already is an upset at the moment, Vegas. See post #16.

But I agree with what you say, it's arguably going to be our hardest fixture of the entire season - might as well get it over with early!

It's a decent lineup. I'd hope we'll see a bit more of the ball with such a formation or at the very least remain our usual compact selves.

Watching Watford, and Gray. Strange game and expect several strange matches/results for the opening weekend. How different is the real thing from preseason!'

Mignolet looking like a deer in headlights on so many occasions!!

I think Bardsley is a little behind on fitness (I seem to remember Dyche mentioning something along those lines). So I guess he misses out at least for this game.

Could well struggle against that midfield today. So much talent in there. How will kante and cesc cope?

Come on Burnley

28" Mee
45" Defour

0-2
