Betting on Burnley

Post by I luv my wife » Sun Aug 13, 2017 10:18 am

Yesterday's normal £2 bet on Burnley to win and Blackburn to lose netted a nice £84 just on my way now to collect it. If anyone sees a gezzer strolling up Padiham Road with a massive smile on his face. It's me :D

Actually dear boy I can think of two women that can go through 84 pounds worth of Prosecco in a couple of hours

I rarely bet on us to win but had a sneaky feeling we might do something special and put a tenner on at 10's. Cashed out with 10 minutes to go as offered £108 and so only lost £2 for losing my nerve!! I'm off on holiday to Italy tonight so I'm smiling as well. UTC.

Every week I put Burnley to win and also do 2-1 Burnley, because the odds are always good for us. Don't win millions but I win more than I lose over the season.

I'm in a WhatsApp chat with a load of non clarets where we predict scores between us. Everyone backed chelsea as the banker and I relied saying 'are you having a laugh! Burnley will beat Chelsea all day long.'

I mean I would never part with 25 quid on a bet, let alone something that unlikely. But imagine if I did put this on!

Crazy day.

ClaretMatt, I actually think those odds are pretty rubbish.

I am sure I read somewhere that we were the most profitable last year if you put £10 on all the teams to win every time they played.

I know someone who did that every weekend. Not sure if he still does it, but every week he'd put a bet on us to win.

One of the lads on our coach yesterday had a £1 bet on Burnley to win 3 - 2 and Sam to score 1st - 600/1.

I had a funny feeling about this one too. Found that I had a small balance in my Betfair account. Put it on us to win at 14.5. Now have a large balance in my Betfair account. Spent some of it down my local in Kent where a few of the lads joined me to toast the clarets. UTC

Ryan - Maybe the same, as it was Jordan that told me so I just assumed he was on the coach with him.
