Plenty were saying that of Lowton and Ward, that it was Ward that should be upgraded. Our biggest error with Ward was not getting him in the team sooner.

There's some real competition for Ward now and him committing to a new deal, despite that new competition arriving,is a big positive on a number of fronts.

Due to his wages and them dropping down the leagues. They removed some players from their squads and got them out. Ward had been at Brighton in the previous season and would have gone back there permanently if they'd move a bit quicker. He was there about to sign when we made our move for him.

I read your translation about "A happier Defour" prior to reading this, which put me in Google translate mode. Google translate really needs to be improved. On one hand, it throws up a lot of humorous translations that take the edge off a nervous transfer window. On the other hand, I find myself slipping into translator babble.
