Spurs using Drums and Piped Chants at Wembley

Post by AlargeClaret » Mon Aug 21, 2017 3:52 pm

I see the Spurs powers that be dictates a microphoned giant drum and (it's true really) "piped Spurs fan chants" to generate atmosphere at Wembley .

While I hear that they actually had 70k plus there and a v good atmosphere you really do pity the poor fans having to have piped music and the dreaded drum... could this soon be coming to the Turf?

Reading used to do it with their drums and it's been rumoured for years that it happens at Anfield.

I very much doubt it.

A couple of directors tried to get the happy clappy things in last season but thankfully that was blocked. Burnley fans wouldn't accept that nonsense.

I thought piped support etc was not allowed. I'm sure a number of years ago a team from one of the lower divisions had to stop using such sounds as their team entered the field.
Was I dreaming this?

No more than a pipedream, I'd say!
