I'm glad the ref was so lenient. A sending off at that point would have changed the whole complexion of the game.

Unlucky to be cautioned. A quiet word would have been ample.

in the current climate, he's lucky to have not been sent off.

the fact that they both clattered into each other saved him.

Looked a red by todays standards and majority of our fans would have been screamng for it had it been the other way round.

On a side note I thought Bardsley was the only player for us who looked rubbish last night and got skinned a few times and needed to foul a few times due to it.

Being better than Darikwa should not be the bench mark for gettin a back up right back as he was miles off the level required.

Bardsley looks no better and possibley worse than Flannagan who in reality was our back up (a bad one at that) for both full backs position should we have got an injury last season.

Its only one game so hopefully he is better than he looked last night but if Lowton gets a bad injury we could be in real trouble.

Clear red. Out of control, dangerous, both feet off the ground. We would have been shouting for a red had it been the other way.

I dunno. I think we'd have had too much for them with 9 men.

Thanks for that. Not changed my opinion, he was reckless and it was dangerous. Should have been red for me

I thought it should have been a red. Simply for the fact he jumped in.
I only got the ball (as obvious from image above) so yellow is an understandable decision.

Surely by now people can grasp the idea that you can still commit a red card offence when you make contact with the ball.
