People have had a moan at how we do business..... Swansea have basically told their main striker he can leave, on deadline day, and are now on to target no.3 and doing it publicly.
Edit - Now looks as though Bony has been told the Italy move won't be happening, and so is going to Swansea.

Sounds as though it is chaos down at Swansea

Swansea signing Renato Sanches, Vincent Janssen and Wilfried Bony.
One never played in this league, one failed miserably in this league, the other been terrible for best part of three years.
I wouldn't be overly happy with that if I had just lost the two players who single handedly kept us up last season (Sigurdsson and Llorente).

They're not doing badly if it's 'chaos' and yet they're still signing Wilfried Bony.

Swansea are taking a novel approach to rebuilding their squad after selling their two best players, in actually replacing them. They're getting a lad on loan who won the European Championships as a teenager and then joined one of the biggest clubs in the world.
We've signed Phil Bardsley.
We haven't replaced what Gray offered to the team, and we havent replaced Keane.
Chaos at Turf Moor.

Hardly - we've got a manager who is happy with our summer dealings and I don't think we are rushing round panic buying. Swansea on the other hand are selling one of their best players with hours to go.
No chaos at Burnley - you personally might not be happy with the window but those running the club are.

We're spending £5m on someone who has literally just had surgery.
Of course we're panic buying.

And if Ross Barkley completes his expected move to Chelsea/Spurs whilst injured.....will they be panic buying as well then?

Absolute nonsense - but you've criticised the club throughout from the pre-season schedule right through to transfers so no surprise to see you at it again.

You missed out selling Jack Cork for £8m and buying Sam Clucas at £16m to play in the same position.

A game against some Irish kids and another against a team with a hooligan firm who caused the match to be abandoned means that I'm fully justified in considering our pre-season arrangements to have been a joke.
Signing a load of 30-odd year olds from Stoke, while STILL not signing a Premier League standard pacy replacement striker, STILL not signing a pacy winger and STILL not replacing our England international centre half, leaving us with two decent defenders and a thickneck to last us an entire season, is not a great transfer window.

Jose wouldn't even contemplate signing Michael Keane. Jose wouldn't take that risk.

Let's be honest, Bony didn't do much last year at Stoke, and hasn't done much at City.

Does two 30 + year olds from Stoke constitute a 'load'?
I am far from happy at the signing of Wells but our squad is in a good place overall, the new formation we are playing is producing results and we look (in my opinion) very capable of being quite clear of the bottom three this season.
I would be disappointed if we don't sign a centre back today though - that would be shortsighted. If Mee/Tarky get injured or suspended we are in a world of trouble until they return in my eyes. I am confident something must be bubbling away today for that position. If Dyche was heavily in for Dawson as we are led to believe then he knows full well the deficiency we have there.

Yet after 3 games, we are 10th, having played the Winners and Runners-up of last season away from home.
There is also 9 hours before the Window 'slams shut'.

Stefano Denswill to Brighton on loan (cancelled by Club Brugge)
The 24-year-old travelled to Brighton for a medical last night but Club Brugge have just said negotations have been terminated owing to a longer than expected injury to their defender Benoit Poulain.

Brighton aren't having the best of luck in this window, that is the third transfer that's slipped away from them, Denswill could have been a good player for them

Swansea actually doing some good business. Bony could recapture his form there. Renato Sanchez is somewhat of a wonderkid (we'd be jumping for joy at a signing like this) and most of us would have taken Clucas. Find it strange that people criticising Swansea's transfers are so quick to defend ours. What I find stranger still is people criticising another clubs transfers and then making out people shouldn't be doing the same thing about our own club. And I don't think it's been a bad window, before you jump down my throat.

Taken from wiki: "While Bayern won the league, Sanches played only 25 games across all competitions and did not achieve a single goal or assist. He started just four league games and playing the entirety of only one. Former Bayern player Lothar Matthäus named him among the three worst players of the season, while Sanches himself said he was disappointed by his performances; however, manager Carlo Ancelotti said he would remain at the Allianz Arena for the following season".

Man Utd signed Bebe once. If he can't do it playing for a team like Bayern I don't fancy his chances at Swansea, you never know though !

Given our very hefty bonus structure, the long unbeaten run and going up as champions I very much suspect that there probably wasn't much in it in the end in terms of money.

That proves Frank De Boer has no control over signings.
There is no way he'd ever want to sign the same players as Big Sam, yet Palace are about to get a guy who'll play for both managers.

With 3 hours to go who has done the best business in transfers between us and our rivals in the bottom half. Swansea look to have done well. Brighton have struggled and Huddersfield have been quiet . Thoughts ?
