Totally underwhelming. Nothing personal wellsy but our club has not learnt the lessons I thought it had. Probably to be followed by the loss of our ash.

I'm as underwhelmed as i was when we signed Arfield.

But - he has something different... pace! and can only add to our options.

Centre Half and a winger next please BFC

Not that I'm reading too much into it but he's got number 21 which leaves the 7 still available for the winger were hopefully getting in

Can understand why many people have doubts, but some of the comments have been foolish. He should be able to give us different options so will be good to watch how this plays out. The calls for signing a centre half are entirely valid.

Will no doubt get shot down but I think this and the signing of Wood is good business. We have bought 2 players with completely different playing styles for nearly the same amount of money we received for Gray. Read the genuine comments from Terriers fans and most think it is a mistake to let him go. It gives us options from the bench and strengthens the squad. Really can't see the problem with this at all. If we add a winger and hopefully a CB it's been a fantastic window. Trust in Dyche!!

currently ruled out having had surgery to remove a screw from his ankle from a previous injury. He’s expected to be fit in around a month’s time and should be available to Sean Dyche after the next international break.

Not sure why people keep saying he's quick. He's not that quick at all and has lost pace due to his injury.

He's not for me but I'll support him nonetheless.

From his comments it seems he knows he'll have to fight for his place and that he is willing to do so. So that's a plus from me.

Like others I'm not sure where he'll fit in a 4-5-1, if at all, can he play wide? But he's got that pace we needed, if at times this season we need to mix it up.

We've brought in Walters, Bardsey, and Wells as squad players, you've gotta say that's improved the overall quality at the club, and all we have a part to play at some point.

Welcome to the turf Wells! Good luck and UTC!!!

In all seriousness, I'm more than happy to trust Sean Dyche on this one. Wells has a decent record at Championship level and does offer the pace we require. He has the potential to partner up well with Wood or Vokes. I still feel we could have done better but if this is who SD wants, then so be it. Welcome to Burnley FC, Nakhi.

I wouldn't mind if they were doubters. We're all entitled to doubt. What annoys me is the posters who have no doubts at all, they are certain that they are right and Sean Dyche is wrong.

I'm happy with this one. If the club think he can make the step up, who am I to disagree?

Dog sh1t is probably a touch harsh, but not good enough at this level, injured and will most probably be another Marvin Sordell was too painful to write out at again.

Course he will get everyone's backing, but let's not kid ourselves here. We have panic baught a injured, championship striker at best who is no better than what we have.

I'd have been upset if we signed him for the championship!

A step backwards, we have wasted around 5 million, just hopefully we can move him on in January when the gaffer realised that we have bought a dud..
The club is supposed to be going forward , but hasn't learned from previous failures,
I have had a season ticket for 35 plus years, and this signing in my opinion is one of the bad ones..

Though I wrongly predicted on another thread that the speculation was a red herring, I also alluded to Wells being like a good deal you see at supermarket checkouts.

At just £5m, (which is peanuts in todays market) I think Wells is a natural finisher and a decent backup striker - different to what we already have.
