A point a match from now on and we're safe

Post by Pstotto » Sun Sep 24, 2017 11:15 am

What a great start! Now we only need a point a match from now on and we're safe. Nevertheless we want a bit of flair and drama and great play to excite and create fervour too, after all it is for entertainment. Is that being greedy?

A point a match from the start of the season normally sees you safe

Dyche will play a style of football that imo is nailed on to keep us up

Surely there's more to football than trying to scrap out enough points to finish 17th every year? Would rather go back down to the Championship if that's our sole ambition.

The first priority is obviously to stay up. The longer we stay up I would hope our style evolves. So it's not just a case of just settling for 17th every year.

Yes but Dyche hasn't shown anything so far to suggest that he's capable, or even interested in evolving. For example bringing Ashley Barnes off the bench yesterday when we were crying out for a bit more subtlety.

Going forward from now, we probably have a bit more leeway to express
ourselves, since it seems Palace are dead men walking, and there's only
two relegation places to fill.

Or so it seems.

Disagree. Although it's early in the season, there already been signs of us holding and playing the ball with Defour and Cork in particular.

If we can finish at least 17th it will have been an amazing season considering the loss of Heaton.
I know Pope has done well so far but its a long season,
Our record signing Wood ,seems no improvement on Sam.

Have Vokes and Wood played together in the same line-up, yet?
