So we have too many strikers!

What to do with them?

My suspicion is more 442 and less Steven Defour.

Judging pre season though it looks like Dyche plans a 433.

How does a front line of Barnes, Wood and Walters sound?

I personally think 433 would be awful for us

No chance that defour will come close to being dropped

I'm not for one minute thinking that he will be, but if Defour was dropped now, after his efforts this season, we should give the guy a Free Transfer to a Club that actually wanted to use his skill set.

SD will be looking to return to 4-4-2 at home whether Defour will fit into that we will see.

We need to be more creative and change something to achieve this. However if you watched Saturdays performance and think dropping Defour is the answer you need to take some very strong medicine.

Whether 4-4-2 or 4-4-1-1 It preferably shouldn't be Hendrick for home matches

Defour was the best Burnley player on the pitch by an absolute mile, him and Mooy were both incredible.

This wasn't a troll guys, just because I said we will see less Defour doesn't mean thats what I want or that I'm trying to get bites or anything like that.

I too don't want to see Defour out of the team, but I fear that because we have so many strikers that it makes it likely when they are all fit that we play 442 again. Already now Dyche has a problem with selection when playing 451, what is it going to be like when we get Walters and Wells back in contention?

If we do go 442 which is more likely I hope to see Defour and Cork play in the centre, but I'm not sure that will be the case. I think Dyche sees Westwood and Hendrick more industrial than Defour and working better in a midfield of 2...I even said we may try doing what we did in the pre season with 433 which would allow us to play 3 men in the middle at the expense of wingers and playing 3 strikers up top.

Since we have so many strikers and so little wingers it seems to make more sense to play that way...but It really hasn't worked even in pre season so I would hate to see it.

I think 433 could work well with Brady more advanced on the left of the front 3 and wells/JBG on the right.

Defour would be one of the first names on the teamsheet for me. If we did play 4-4-2 then it would be Cork or Westwood partnering him, for me. But I dont see why we won't stick with 4-5-1 against the majority of sides. Especially away.

And I don't think we have too many strikers.
