One thing I have never understood is music snobbery. It really really annoys me.

If it sounds good to someone, it bloody sounds good. End of. Don't belittle their taste in whoever it is.

I can listen to literally anything, it depends on my mood.

Current favourites are Picture This, a bit of Pink and also U2 and some soft classical music.

No guilt in any of it.

Nick the bass player is a good friend from college and uni and we’ve played together in a few bands. He is originally from Keighley but lives in Manchester now. He’s a dirty Leeds fan but has been on the Turf a couple of times with me to watch the Clarets. I like GoGo Penguin’s sound and they are really good straight ahead jazz musicians but I like the dancey slant they have put in their music. The tune “One Percent” has an insane climax that sounds like the CD is skipping.

I think we've had a fair few "Are covers ever better than originals?" threads over the years. I would always cite "I Fought the Law" and "Nothing compares 2 U" as superior covers - but it's all subjective, of course.

And as for (sort of ) guilty pleasures - how about "Barbie Girl" and "Cheeky Song"
