StickyToffees versus Mighty Clarets

Post by IanMcL » Sun Oct 01, 2017 11:28 am

Big day today. If we can go up the league without playing, whatever can we do today, when our heroes, play out of their skin?

Madge has set off early and is raring to go. Probably a jog round Stanley park before she gets down to her stuff.

Come on you Clarets, let's beat the Koeman's Balls Ups!

And old tradition that they've continued over the years - having the Toffee Lady

Good for them... Something for them to celebrate, at least.

Does she chuck them at away fans too? Or is it solely for home fans?

Consolation off the pitch. Good planning by them.

They had a midfield in those days.

Are we hoping for an Arsenal win, ie keeping us above Brighton. Or, do we want a draw for Arsenal and Brighton, followed by a Burnley win moving us above both teams?

At the end of the season Arsenal are going to be above us anyway so might as well hope for a Brighton defeat as they're a bigger threat to our end of season fortunes

Just read this from the BBC website... Level of detail in prep is amazing - wonder what the benefit of doing this is though?

12:52
Everton v Burnley (14:15 BST)
We will have team news from the second game of the day shortly. On 5 live Pat Nevin reports that Sean Dyche has been on the pitch at Goodison striding out the distance between halfway and the penalty area.

You can't fail to prepare properly in this game.

I like their bench but our X1 has the beating of theirs.
Keane to gift us one as well.

Yeah I don't think we could have many changes there. Arfield can always pop up and score out of very little.

Treading on Keane's foot, early on, might be a good ploy!

Lindy preferred to Leggings at no.2 keeper.
