The Daily Mail - Have they learned nothing?

Post by Imploding Turtle » Sat Oct 07, 2017 9:03 am

5 years ago they outed an Accrington teacher as transexual and it led to her killing herself. Now they've outed a teenage Conservative activist because he was on a night out in Manchester and for some reason that's something the public should know about.

What the ******* **** is wrong with these people? And what the **** is wrong with the people who continue to buy this evil rag?

Still a section of society who are 20 years behind the rest of us. They still read the daily mail. While people still buy they still print. They've even got an App for the more younger racist/homophobe etc.

My mum buys it...she insists on it.

She's in her 90's now, and her mind , sadly has been deteriorating over the last 10 years. She now sees benefit scroungers, rampaging immigrants and drug dealers behind every door and a cancer threat in every tea bag.

Back in the 60's and 70's she was a broad minded political activist doing her best to achieve any kind of change that might benefit ordinary or less privileged folk..well liked and respected in local parts.

Sad...but I guess addle brained oldsters make up a big percentage of that rag's readership.

Of course. But they wouldn't bat an eye lid if they indirectly killed 10 people, if it meant their circulation went up.

My mum still reads it too, I can’t stand it! However, if you don’t want people to know something about you you’re probably better off not demonstrating it in a public place where it’s obvious to everyone that the vultures will be present.

If I were having an affair behind my wife’s back I wouldn’t walk down the Main Street of my town holding hands with my gf, it’s clear what would happen.

Edit to emphasise that I’m not defending that sh1te rag, just that the young lad in question was naive to say the least.

Love the Daily Mail.

It provides you with a view to everything that's being withheld by the BBC.

Yes, why?

I like a view that's not dictated by the alt-left, communist, LGBTUVWXYZ, feminist, eco types.

...or is having a differing view to you and your kind not allowed?

No, it's allowed. But i get to call you names when the view is as retarded as yours. :)

Isn't it wierd how you peoople keep complaining that when people like me criticise you for your views you react as if it's some kind of infringement on your rights? Rather snowflakey, don't you think?

I didn't say I felt bullied.

I said if you called people names because of who they are, then you're a bully.

Can you read it properly next time?

Yes, his kind.

The kind of people who post endlessly boring, receptive, left wing drivel on every single thread on here.

The kind of people who over politicise every single thing they come across either on the internet or in the real world? The people who wouldn't be able enter into a thread about bread making without finding something to copy and paste from a trendy thread on Reddit about how evil and racist it is to make Sourdough?

Where did i suggest calling people names based on who they are? Isn't that something you are prone to doing? Like when you mocked LGBTQ+ people a few posts ago? What was it you called them... "LGBTUVWXYZ"?

This is an example of why i call people like you "idiots". If you think that's bullying then, awwww. Bless. But that isn't calling you a name because of who you are, that's calling you a name based on how you choose to act and treat others.

The BBC has definitely showed a leftist and PC agenda in recent years. The Mail does not get everything right like many papers but it does have a strong voice on crime and immigration usually to howls of derision from the leftists.

Have you got a link to the mail article?
I read the one you posted, as the mail had printed some photographs of some people kissing openly in a street.
If your kissing openly in a street, you have hardly been outed have you?
I could be reading it wrong mind, hence why I'd like to see the article before making a judgement

Mocking acronyms upsets you?

There are plenty more I find ridiculous, ones that are too long or have so many words that don't actually appear in the acronym.

You'd best don your armour and go fight for the cause of acronyms!

The article looks to me as though it is focusing on the revellers and partygoing after the conference. As usual the PC brigade are looking to be offended. If you don't want any chance of being photographed kissing in public then don't do it. It's not rocket science.

The artical reads like one typical of some of the current generations where someone else is always to blame, their own actions never contribute.

Kissing and holding hands in public, in this age of cctv, camera phones and, at a part conference with tv, photographers and journalists there is a good chance your actions will be seen.

Poor artical with no form of investigation to the story. He has been harassed by messages, but hasn't read them, they may all be supportive messages.

Dad won't speak to him, but no one mentions why just leave us to make assumptions. I think a lot of parents would be upset if their children felt they couldn't talk to them and find out something like this from a paper.

On plenty of occasions. There was an article by Tom Leonard on 14/08/17 as an example that does not put far right groups on America in a good light at all. It doesn't criticise the moderate right which is what you can't accept.

Will the guy being outed as a chubby chaser get his own outrage too?
It's a story about Tories getting ******. I don't see what's homophobic about any part of that article.
Just a lot of snow flakery from you and your mates Charlie.

Btw, I don't read the mail. I think it's a load of crap, most of the stories posted are just an attempt to trigger the left. Kind of like the guardian but on the opposite end of the political spectrum.

IF? His family isn't talking to him. He probably assumed that being in a city centre away from anyone he knows that he's be safe to be who he is among strangers.
But maybe you're right. Maybe he secretly wanted the Daily Mail to photograph him on a night out and come out to his bigotted family that way. Because that makes sense.

You're not mocking snowflakes there are you? Snowflakes are people (and sometimes wonderful building blocks which fall from the sky in the cold weather), not acronyms.

Plus, if I google (if i'm allowed to say that - is it too presumptuous? OK...) if I run an internet search on "Snowflake" it returns

"A term used to describe extremist liberals that get offended by every statement and/or belief that doesn't exactly match their own. These individuals think they are just as "unique" as snowflakes, when really their feelings are just as fragile."

Now, forgive me if I'm wrong. That seems to describe you and your reactions towards people who do something as simple as read a certain newspaper. An irrational act, I'd say.

You're being a bit "snowflakey" yourself there aren't you. That also makes you a hypocrite, a bully and an irrational one at that. Doesn't it?

Re: The Daily Mail - Have they learned nothing?

So in summary, a newspaper took pictures of lots of people out and about in Manchester in full public view. Heterosexual couples, people having a drink, people smoking, people talking, people singing and a gay couple. Definitely outrageous. They even seem to have removed the picture of the gay couple once alerted to the embarrassment this was causing one of the people.

There's plenty to get outraged about. This isn't it. If they hadn't shown the gay couple, presumably there'd have been outrage that they were too homophobic to print it. Unless you're just outraged at the Daily Mail no matter what triggers you.

But your op contradicts that.
