Watch out for ablueclaret in Poldark.

Post by ablueclaret » Sat Oct 07, 2017 12:21 pm

Just a brief appearance as a 21st Century bystander drinking tomato soup under a tree at Bowood house yesterday, which apparently was standing in for Hyde park, plus a small cameo in a Harry Potter film masking as Voltaire recently shot at Lacock Abbey, keep your eyes open for an olde rustic hobbling out of the walled gardens smoking a very long pipe.
This filming lark is all about timing.

The tree stole the show.

You'd need to bump the thread when the Poldark episode will be aired.

Amazing just how many takes they make of very simple scenes, in the time we were there they'd only managed one scene involving a moving carriage, and a flock of young children, mind you having local yokels emerge into the line of vision didn't help.

What do they pay extras these days ? A semi-retirement job ?

I don't live too far away from the Eastenders filming set and I could eat a pie on command.

Why I'm not likely to see you in Burnley?

I was at Lacock the other week, when they were filming. Didn't see anything.

No. Lots of marquees but access was denied to the filming area. Only gardens available.

Should have talked to the man on the gate Ian or taken a walk down the river to get a view of the cloisters.
