This has been one of our major success stories.

Well done to everyone involved but especially Nick Pope himself.

Well played BFC. Tied him up in case anyone comes sniffing after him following his decent recent form.

Patience and hard work rewarded and rightly so.

But it is just a one year extension isn't it? Wasn't he already contracted to 2019 with an option in the clubs favour to 2020 and now it is to 2020 with an option to 2021 if I read the report correctly?
Need to try and tie down Scotty and Hendrick to longer deals too.
And having checked when players are OOC, what about Tarks Mee Sam and Ashley?

Probably pay rise too.

He's our first choice as it stands and if he performs to a high standard he could well keep out Heaton.

We know that Dyche is very loyal to players who are playing in a position, but as good as Pope is playing, he's still a level below Heaton. When I watch the game I do have more confidence in Heaton when the ball comes into our box. However... what a cracking backup we'll have when Heaton returns in a few months.

Nick Pope Nick Pope in the middle of our goal
Nick Pope
Well deserved as we all agree
Commit our players for long term deals kind of takes the pressure off when the windows are open and I would like to see the club tie up some other long term extensions deals for others players we have with 2 years or less left on their contracts
But trust the club on this as it knows on past mistakes that when a player runs his contract down or we fail to draw up a deal it can become a lottery.
We haven't really been shafted in this way really the only players to have was I think Mears Eagles to Notlob when they joined hoarse face
