Homes of football
I have recently followed @Homesoffootball on Twitter as they have some great old photos of Burnley fans/ground amongst others.
I received a private message saying- I also have @stuartroyclarke and now I have 2 new websites http://www.homesoffootball.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; & http://www.stuartroyclarke.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Pictures at £60 or £400 or £1001, or just to enjoy. My next show 'THE Game' starts at Manchester March 23rd for 12 months at the National Football Museum (satellite shows at Burnley and Huddersfield). And there's the book of the show to come on Prestel Publishing. Best wishes, Stuart
Does anyone know anything about this? Or the photographer?
Loads of photos in the style JDRobbo was asking for yesterday.

Re: Homes of football
I think I was on that game. Futcher scoring a penalty into the CF end, before he took it a Burnley fan (about 60) stood up and shouted 'Who's going to miss this one'?
I was new to the Turf and wondered why anybody would slag their team off. I know things were bad like but still

Re: Homes of football
Spotted myself (well part of me) on the Carlisle away pic middle right in front of the viking with just my right arm and part of my painted face showing. Ive seen that pic or one very similar (or maybe video footage) on a footy site years ago where I am in full view
From the clothes the fans are waring you can see quite a few are from the early 90s with the shellsuits and baggy style clothing

Stuart Clarke is a fantastic photographer. He also runs the "homes of football" museum in Ambleside. His photos are limited- I have 4 hanging in my home that I bought way back in 2001.Quickenthetempo wrote:I have recently followed @Homesoffootball on Twitter as they have some great old photos of Burnley fans/ground amongst others.

Where's the picture of Futcher taking the penalty gone?
Is it a copyright issue or something? I thought naming the source was acceptable?

I used to call in to the shop in Ambleside everytime I visited.turfytopper wrote:Stuart Clarke is a fantastic photographer. He also runs the "homes of football" museum in Ambleside. His photos are limited- I have 4 hanging in my home that I bought way back in 2001.
The photos are fantastic as a record of grounds, but he also had a knack of capturing the moment. His photos of old rundown stadiums take you back to a time and place.
Wonderful stuff.

"Mud pie penalty". Classic photo of our darkest days...i have it on my dining room wall, together with "a girl looks up" a brilliant photo of a packed Longside.Quickenthetempo wrote:Where's the picture of Futcher taking the penalty gone?

Re: Homes of football
Shop no longer in Ambleside. He's moved. You could spend hours in that shop, a bit like Sportspages in Manchester which also sadly closed.
