Nope, but want very much!
Re: Vilamoura - Anyone Been There?
Beaches are great
Main place for bars and food is the marina - lots of nice ones but could be quiet at this time of year.
I was in Algarve last week and it was really hot but think the temps have come down a bit this week - but still very nice.
You can also go to Albufeira - I went last week for one night to watch the Ireland v Wales game and it was actually really busy - a bit Benidorm / karaoke but ok for one night !!
Depends what you are looking for but loads of great golf courses and as said loads of great beaches and restaurants

Just got back from a golf trip last week. For food you are better off a couple of streets back from the marina. We had a steak, can't remember the name but it was next to a bar called biddy Janes. Was very full when all other places were quiet, steaks were fabulous and not too pricey, my surf and turf was €21. Second night we ate at the Indian opposite which was fabulous. Third night we went to the fish shack which is at the other side near the big hotels. This was also fabulous and well priced.

Cheers Andre

I've been, but couldn't recommend anywhere really. All a bit soulless. Milton Keynes with nice weather.
I saw Luis Figo though, he really is involved with the cafe bearing his name.

I'm there now! We are big fans of Vilamoura. Weather not great today or tomorrow but then improving again.Been in Portugal for the last 7 days and the weather has been lovely.
As others have said, mostly centres around the Marina, which is by surrounded restaurants and bars . Some very good restaurants and can be pricey but walk up behind the Marina and lots of more reasonably priced places. There must be in excess of 50 restaurants in and around the marina.
Nice beaches either side of the marina ideal for long leisurely walks. Also worth a walk down to Quarteria.Another nice little place is the Old Village 20 mins walk from the marina or 3 mins in a taxi, ask for Four Seasons.

Another shout for going to the streets behind the Marina. There's a square that includes a restaurant called Casa De Pescador that has three or four really good restaurants in it and the prices drop considerably. There's a new bar called "Vintage" which does a mighty fine selection of Gins if that's your thing. next door to that is a Bem Brasil / Fazenda type affair thats quite good.
The Marina Front is a bit hit and miss with a selection of Irish Pubs and Champagne bars. Both chinese restaurants on the front are good . I've been for the last two years and had a really good relaxing break both times... enjoy...

Re: Vilamoura - Anyone Been There?
My mum and dad went there with two other couples on a golfing holiday. It was lashing it down and he teed off and his 1 iron flew out of his hands over the cliff! After the round my Dad went to look for it but came back empty handed. My mum who was sat waiting for him asked, "Did you find it?" My Dad just put his arms out as if to say, "Does it bloody look like I found it?"
I've told people about this who have wives and most have just laughed, shaken their heads and said, "Women".

I know somebody who used to teach English there, to a working girl in Vliamoura. She told them that half her Irish male golfing clients wanted it up 'em with a strap on. True story.

... Some of them, blokes on holiday with their families! It's a very strange place, Vilamoura. I've only visited a few times and not for a few years, but it's one of these created places around a marina. Quarteira, just to the east; has some nice beaches and restaurants and is more of a town and is almost entirely Portuguese, regarding who is on holiday. There you can get a bus up to Loule, which is a nice old town, with markets and stuff.

We’re frequently at Villa Sol (5 mins from Villamoura) great restaurants all around you!
Casa Pixtura
Mr Freddie’s (the steaks are amazing!)
Both of these are a must!
On the marina there’s a brilliant Indian called the taste of India
Hagen Daaz on the marina is better than any sweet in a restaurant!
The square at Quinta da largo is great for breakfast and celeb spotting.
