I was just thinking about starting this as I was sat queued on the M6 this afternoon on the way back from Leighton Moss. I finally saw some Bearded Tits but for a reason I have yet to fathom. failed to get a decent shot in focus. It wasn't just today, I have had a problem for a few weeks trying to get a decent shot and am ploughing through faults, causes and remedies but as yet to no avail
Anyhow enough of my problems, great shots so far.

I would almost guarantee you would see them within the next week or so though, apparently it is boom time at the moment.
I'm tempted to re-visit within the next few days myself.
Good luck if you make it!

I love threads like these.
"Sloe gin, anyone?"
Yes please Spades!!!
Keep the pics coming all of you. I'll add some pics when I can (although my current view of autumn is quite boxed).
I'm a bit limited with mobility at the moment - Show me outside!

Well I've had 6 weeks of it (retirement) Spades and I just can't get my head round it. It's not like I'm missing work because I'm not, but sad, fed up borderline depressed! Desperately hoping it gets better tbh.

That makes me sad, Dark Cloud. You are obviously taking time to acclimatise. Perhaps you are missing the discipline of a work routine.

Hopefully it will settle down...at some stage! I even took retirement slightly earlier than I needed to as others said how brilliant it was, but alas, it's a bit bleak in reality tbh! My wife is still working full time, but I tend to feel that's something of a result actually!!!

Stick with it, you'll soon be wondering how you ever found time to go to work.

Thanks Spades - an amazing week. Spent a couple of hours with the crested tit's and red squirrels this morning. They're both fantastic entertainment to watch and photograph.

My kind of bar: Bania Luka in Krakow. Beers, wines, shots, vodka, soft drinks, tea & coffee are all the same price - £0.90. Food looked a bit scary but at £1. 80 it was a bargain for the tramps and students which make the place home. Just chuck a few quid over the bar and let them choose the myriad of vodkas for you. There are a number of these bars scattered across the city. They are also open 23 hours a day with the period between 06:00 & 07:00 used for cleaning up / hosing down.
Bania Luka on a quiet Monday in the OldTown.
