That's the only Burnley game scheduled with the last week in December & January fixtures to be announced by a week tomorrow at latest.

So much for the FSF sticking up for fans travelling to games.

The last train connection getting Spurs fans (and Clarets for that matter) back to London leaves as the game is in progress.

But hey, no Xmas eve games!

Is yours the 23rd too? I often got when I was younger, "Do you get one set of presents or two?" :D

Now it's bugger all for both.

People are out anyway, so it's always a lot easier to get a big group of mates together, vs during the rest of the year.

There was always going to be a game at that time on the Saturday, it’s part of the tv contract the Premier League have with BT.

Is the Boxing Day game now set for a 3pm Ko? Or is it still to be determined?

Boxing Day stays at 3pm - not on tv

Wonder if Liverpool fans will have an easier time getting back from their 7:45 kick off on Friday night rather than 4pm Christmas Eve.

Obviously not, but it's not an argument because we know this can happen with clubs having signed up to the television agreement allowing Friday night games. Richard Scudamore has now admitted it was entirely his fault, and not the tv companies, that there was ever a move to play football on Christmas Eve.

For what it's worth, I don't think they should've done any Games on the weekend of the 23rd. They should've done the weekend of Saturday 16th, followed by a midweeker on the 18th or 19th. The next game should've been Boxing Day!

They were. But as others pointed out numerous times on other threads the excuse about transport just did not hold water.

Don't we also know that games can be scheduled on a Sunday (like Christmas Eve) with clubs having signed up to the television agreement allowing Sunday games?

There was no agreement for Christmas Eve, as some clubs were very quick to point out - Scudamore has held his hand up to that mistake. Sunday games yes, but not Christmas Eve.

One thing I wasn't aware of until all this came up. Sky can show Premier League games on a Friday night and a Monday night but they can't use both days over the same weekend, stretching it to a four day game week.
