Billy Mercer the man we don't want to leave
Billy is the best goalkeeper coach in the country. He's been superb at getting the best out of our keepers for a number years improving their skills and all round abilities.Grant.Heaton and now Pope have all made great progress. If Sean walks its imperative we hold onto Billy.

This is my biggest concern; when we lose Dyche, we'll likely lose the staff setup. The manager himself aludes regularly to the fact that Burnley is about the team and not the individual.

If and when the manager does leave there is no doubt that Woan and Loughlan will go with him. Not sure about Billy though, he's been here now for closing in on 8 years. He replaced Phil Hughes following the exodus to Horwich.

Agree we should keep Billy should SD leave although I imagine that will be dependant (on either party) upon the new Manager.

Anyone that doesn't do his best to persuade Billy to say with extra cash and long contract is a fool .All our goalkeepers are developing under his watch and that's a fact worth fighting for.

Clutching at straws here Woodley, when Dyche goes he will take the lot, like he says it's a team ...we will have to start from scratch ...again.

Any new manager would probably bring his own staff with him as well, who knows they might even be better?

Why are so many convinced SD is going to leave all of a sudden?

Exactly ty. Everyone talkin like it's done???
It's gotta be right for him. All these clubs in disarray must be a real tempter for him. He goes to leics or Everton and loses ten games, he's gone. He stays here and we're relegated, I'd like to think he will get another crack at the championship. That sort of relationship has value waaaaaaay beyond money.

But having worked together for the last five years and improved with each other.....he will take him wherever he goes,I think that's the way it generally works, although he's not a big as a **** as Coyle is he?...Everybody is guessing right now.ClaretTony wrote:The difference being that he didn’t come in with Dyche
