Cult 11 in 5 minutes
Cult 11 in 5 minutes
Just like the other thread but with a little twist... players who were loved not for their ability as such, but for entertainment value, service to the club and / or moments of head scratching. First 11 that comes into your head please

Ill add to that Graham Branch. Think he played in every position but goal...not the greatest but he had a lot of affection for the club and fans.

I'd certainly agree that Jensen, Gnohere, Thompson, Branch, Gayle & Eli were cult figures, not sure of the others though.jlup1980 wrote:Just like the other thread but with a little twist... players who were loved not for their ability as such, but for entertainment value, service to the club and / or moments of head scratching. If we are talking about entertainment value, then the number 1 jersey must surely go to Chris Pearce

That's the problem with only having 5 minutes! I wasn't convincing myself on a couple of them but I was struggling to think of right backs and right wingers!ClaretTony wrote:I'd certainly agree that Jensen, Gnohere, Thompson, Branch, Gayle & Eli were cult figures, not sure of the others though.
