Dirtiest team in PL history
You guessed it... Blackburn Rovers. 1998-99 (8 reds, 80 yellows, 725 fouls.)

Re: Dirtiest team in PL history
That was the season of the legend that is Brian Kidd! I remember being in a pub in London when they drew 0-0 with Man Utd to confirm their relegation, tears all round including the tax dodging steel magnate. My mate and a few others were Utd fans, the others in the pub were Arsenal. Both were a bit non plussed with the result, as Utd needed to win their last game and if they did Arsenal couldn't catch them. Meanwhile one person in the pub is dancing on the table at full time. Someone asked for a pint of what I had been drinking, until it was pointed out that I was a Burnley fan celebrating the demise of the Bastards!

Not the most red cards in a season though. QPR have that honour for their 9 reds in 11/12
