From behind the goal the speed of it can really be appreciated. The first thing the keeper saw was probably the ball in the back of the net. I wonder what the highest velocity ever recorded for a goal is? When we beat Villa 4-1 in 72 their keeper said Fletcher's shot was the quickest he could think of.

I saw somewhere ages ago that a Beckham penalty that was right next to the keeper (may have been vs Argentina?) should have been dealt with better by the keeper. Then they said it took something like .27 seconds from him striking the ball to it hitting the netting so was just took fast.
