Was told it was a form of cancer. He is hated around these parts for his arrogance but still a shame for one so young. Looking at latest pics he looks a lot healthier than 6 months ago though and he has all his hair back and has put quite a bit of weight back on so maybe he is fighting it. When he got the diagnosis he had just ploughed 1 million into a new bar Hellfire and then put it up for sale after 2 just weeks after getting his diagnosis.

So, have they paid the £30 million to buy the other guy out who won his case?
How long were they given to pay him off?

I think it is made up of 3 payments. They met the first which was 10 million of the 31 million owed....the next is end of next month i think and then one in may. They are pleading poverty now as they have been unable to sell off Oyston Mill in Preston, the Travelodge they own in Blackpool and other land they own. I had heard people are willing to buy but are waiting until Oystons have to virtually give it away as they have made a lot of enemies in recent years

It is not a buy out i dont think. It is money which he is entitled to as a partner of Blackpool FC as they took the promotion money and paid their own companies to carry out works at the club at extortionate fees. Also loaning money to their other companies without proper permissions. The wording the judge used was "legitimately stripped" the club of cash

Ah right. Thanks, Cleveleys.
Was under the impression that the judge ordered them to buy the guy out for £30 mil.

I was mixed up as i thought he was still going to involved. It must be that because of the six months which the fans have been given to buy it will be with the money raised from this meaning Belekon as long as this time he can pass the fit and proper persons test (which he failed last year) will buy the oystons out with their own money and should get them at a rock bottom price as they have had to take out loans due to being unable to sell anything

Thanks for the link, Cleveleys.
Seems the judge isn't wearing their crap. Though no surprise they aren't making it easy. "Give me my grand back!". :)
Next installment is due soon.
Must really gall them, paying out the money.
Much more than the brown stains on their reputations. :) :)

I think it is more to do with the fact that Owen has spent years building a crooked empire and due to bad management it is all going tits up due to his son and his grandsons running of the club. He may have been able to carry on as he was but the way in which Karl and Sam have riled the locals have helped bring this all to a head.

I don't think there is much that you can do at a club like Blackpool. If they hadn't had the Premiership money then maybe so but because of the amount of money involved the Oystons were able to stay and gave them a reason to stay. They weren't far from selling the club when Belekon came in with a bit of investment. If he hadn't it could of been a different story. Footfall hasn't really affected them until this season what with parachute payments and tying fans into 2 year season tickets which ran out last summer

The Oystons own the club and assets, not the fans. Not a lot can be done, when faced by such owner actions.

What a shocking situation this is. It's not good to be in breach of a Court order. I really feel sorry for the Blackpool fans with what's going on. How lucky we are to have a Chairman and Board of Directors that put the Club first.

I'm far from clever enough to understand them director roles but has he resigned so he's not linked to them when the Bailiffs come knocking?

I'm not savvy enough either, but is the likely outcome of this that Oyston has to declare bankruptcy and Belokon becomes a major creditor, thus acquiring Blackpool FC by default? I really hope there's a good outcome here as I have nothing against the Blackpool fans.

Karl Oyston no longer chairman, been replaced by Natalie Christopher, who happens to be Owen Oystons daughter.

It really is going from bad to worse at Blackpool. It appears Owen has fallen out with Karl so shunted him out of the way and placed his daughter Natalia in as chairman. Suggestion is that Owen wants to keep control of the club whilst Karl was of the view that they should get rid.

Awful situation.

I love the fact that the BBC have used the headline “Oyston steps down from Blackpool board” on social media. People are then, without reading the article, posting; “very happy for Blackpool”, “at last you’re going to get your club back”etc etc.

Latest on the farce at Bloomfield. Even Karl sending a letter to the court saying his father is unwilling to sell any of his property. Karl may not have helped the situation over the years but it seems he knows they are defeated on this but Owen is unwilling to see the truth

Matt Scrafton, the Blackpool FC reporter for the Blackpool Gazette has today had contact from Karl Oyston for the first time in over a year. It was via text.

MS: Hi Karl, would you like to make any comment to the Gazette?
KO: It's snowing.
MS: I'll take that as a no then.

The lovely Vicki, apparently only attended one Director's meeting, the one where £13.2 million was transferred from Blackpool FC directly to Segesta Properties Ltd (Owner O.Oyston)

Even after yesterdays High Court decision they are still hanging round like a bad smell.

Today's latest news is that the dethroned Karl Oyston has written to the FA & Football League claiming his dad Owen is not a fit and proper person to run Blackpool Football Club.
No real surprise seems a lot of tit for tatting going on between father and son lately and if you have a look at the avftt message board recently it appears someone is feeding information to the fans that is further damaging to Owen Oyston.

Since last Friday Blackpool fans had a protest outside the EFL, about the EFL'S Governance in football in general as well as Blackpool FC's.
The positive news is that they have secured a meeting with their supporters groups and the EFL
On Monday they were visited by the bailiffs and again on Wednesday. On Thursday Owen Oyston instructed his lawyers to sue the bailiffs for unnecessary distress.
There also rumours of an American Consortium being interested in the club, that appears in the Daily Mail article, there is also another consortium being fronted by Matt Longworth and Ray Ingleby which has gone down like a lead balloon with the fans.

There are also two court cases next week relating to the ongoing payments or non payments of the debt to Belekon.

Another crazy week in the life of Blackpool FC

All about forcing the sale of the club to minimise the amount of family held assets that have to be sold in order to make up the balance due to Belokon....

I reckon that Karl is worrying that his personal assets will end up going and wants to get out of it as far as humanly possible.

He was our second largest shareholder for quite a while. Think he loaned the club some money but not the amounts that Barry Kilby did.

Seem to remember he had a company in the US that shot up in value and then went bankrupt or similar. No great surprise that he's linked with Blackpool, pretty sure he's from over that way.

I remember a feature in the paper saying he had painted his personal jet claret and blue. I think he copied me as I did the same to my Morris Marina a month or two before when I got two new doors and a boot from Alf Kymes.I looked stupid as I used a brush and there was drips.
