Only dropping Wood cos he's playing so close to the time

For me Hendrick hasn't been playing well overall so needs to be dropped.

Pope
Lowton Tarkowski Mee Ward
Arfield Cork Defour Brady
Gudmundsson
Vokes

But it will likely be:

Pope
Lowton Tarkowski Mee Ward
Gudmundsson Cork Defour Brady
Hendrick
Vokes/Wood

Taylor might get a chance.

I would think about dropping Ward, he looked a bit jaded the other night maybe a rest would do him good, love the lad but think he needs a break for a game, possibly Vokes for Wood as he will be in another time zone.

I can live with that. But, whatever Sean says is good enough also !

Would rather give Brady a rest but we don't have so much depth on the wings so I doubt he will. Ward looks tired so a game out might be good and Taylor will be eager to get a game. Wood will be half asleep so Vokes is the better option. I'd like JBG in the CAM position, especially with Vokes up front, who is probably not as good with his feet as wood. I think JBG could thrive there as he's got a good shot and cross and is quick and can pass well.

Not sure, but SD will be looking at the the players who have had dreams wrecked this week and checking that they are ok.

Can't see Wood making it, but he does make a difference so hope he does.

I’d give Ward a rest for Taylor ,though really don’t want a Arfield/Barnes/Vokes mix if we can help it

I think SD will change the trusted side for this game in light of the Internationals and lack of time for him to boost deflated players.

Pope, Lowton, Tarks, Mee, Taylor, Brady, Westwood, Defour, Cork, JBG, Barnes or Vokes. On the bench Ward, Hendrick, Wells, Long, Arfield +++,

Barnes was very good against Newcastle and offered a bit more mobility than we usually have from our lone striker. I suspect he might start as he's not been on International duty and should be fresh.

Will be interesting to see if Taylor plays. SD mentioned how well he was doing last week.
We shall see...

Has Arfield been away with Canada?

Think Vokes and Arfield will both start - Wood and maybe Jeff or Robbie on bench
Rest of team as normal.
Don't think Wood will be in squad
