Immigration, ageing population and fat sods are issues though that need addressing.

Wholeheartedly embraced by Labour when Blair became PM, despite their initial criticism when they weren't in power.joey13 wrote:John back to basics while shagging Edwina Major brought in PFI’s

Not sure maybe.Imploding Turtle wrote:Wanna know how we can get cross-party committees more easily? Proportional representation.
It would make a start if politicians stopped trying to score political points from serious issues.

Do any of you snowflakes really believe that the Tories are trying to destroy the NHS, or are you all just being really silly?

I like this from the twitter thread...
Re: Ralf Little destroys Jeremy Hunt
Anne Widdecombe nailed it on QT a while back. Are any of the political parties prepared to be brave enough and approach the others?

Re: Ralf Little destroys Jeremy Hunt
so can we all agree that all parties have screwed-up the NHS then? the tories to privatise it and labour through incompetence.
ahh, i get it now, Jeremy Hunt = xxxx. for years I thought 'a right Jeremy' was about Clarkson. tried a thousand times to find a plausible rhyme for Clarkson within the context.

I think the point is that we need some sort of all party consensus on the NHS.
Thats about as likely as Ringo voting remain though

Its a shame though Lancaster because it seems a lot people think that's the logical solution

Re: Ralf Little destroys Jeremy Hunt
How can anyone expect a sensible debate when the OP involves a huff post link ffs?
Much as JH has a nasty look to him and dodgy eyes to boot he's actually done far more than expected with his remit. There was indeed a lot of cash sloshing round the nhs under new lab but boy oh boy was it p1ssed against the wall and the rushed job effect of putting new layers into pretty much all s ervices ended up with more trusts having to constantly recruit and change and back track again when poorly managed middle management schemes simply ddint have the infrastructure to suceed. See the whole "modern matron" malarkey as a good example.

Ok, please see below. All the articles have done the same, printed his tweets. Huff Post was the first one I saw online

I stopped getting angry when seeing the labour luvvies when I sat through Martin Freeman's Labour Party Political broadcast a while ago. Ralf Little seems to be in the same boat - any tax dodges Ralf ?
I'm not particularly party political but if any Labour supporter understood how they used the PFI process so appallingly - we'll be paying for it for literally decades - for political purposes they wouldn't touch Corbyn and his magic money tree with a bargepole.

I do wonder whether free healthcare should be restricted to accident & emergency, critical illness, mental health and degenerative disease. Anything else that is either non-life threatening (eg. minor illnesses, aches, pains and strains) or could be prevented by healthier lifestyle choices should be covered privately, either through medical insurance or direct payment. One could even argue that self inflicted A&E requirements should be paid for privately (albeit within reason and after treatment has been administered) as a deterrent to those who want to be reckless.
