Really enjoyed that, thanks. It's nice to hear two intelligent lads discussing tactics and strategy for a change. They are clearly big Dyche fans and extremely complimentary of us. I Love the bit at the end about us beating Arsenal 1-0, here's hoping it happens, don't see any reason why not

Re: Podcast on Sean, burnley and our tactics
A really good listen was that.
It's nice that some non Burnley fans actually understand that there is an art to defending and that there is a method to it, not 'park the bus'.
Far better than that drivel on a Swansea forum pre match, about us being lucky and should really be on 10 points. Most forwards have an off day when they play us, apparently.

looking forward to the video analysis later this week - the one they did last year was along with Pat Nevin the most articulate understanding of what we do and why it is effective

Very much enjoyed the last few minutes of pragmatic approach to our system, media distortion and appreciation of our teamwork.

Enjoyed that very much. WE get it, so hugely gratifying when others can recognise and appreciate what we are about, and say so eloquently. We are what we are. Sean Dyche is supremely talented at making the very best of what we are. Love the simple logic and incredible work ethic. Brilliant times.

Interesting to read the other article on that page from a year ago. Takes a slightly different perspective.

Different contributor, the article is by Conor Kelly who writes mostly about Chelsea.
Other of his articles that haven't aged well, "Tony Pulis deserves credit for West Brom's upturn in form" (11months ago) and "Why Gylfi Sigurdsson is the Premier League's most underrated player" (10months ago).

And here is the tactics video as promised - focused purely on our defence

Surely there is room on the telly for stuff like this, intelligent well presented and showing genuine knowledge of the game, kids should lap stuff like this up.
Better than the usual inane drivel from the motd pundits.

I daren't listen. Anyway, having watched PSG last night, it looks like the top teams are going back to the olden days of 2-3-5.

TV just wants easily digestible soundbites that your average schmuck who thinks he knows something about football can nod along to. Shame really.Shore claret wrote:Surely there is room on the telly for stuff like this, intelligent well presented and showing genuine knowledge of the game, kids should lap stuff like this up.
