My “Clarets Room”

Post by Jimmymaccer » Wed Nov 22, 2017 3:09 pm

The other week I put a photo on of my footy shirt collection.......just re-organising some things and started looking at historic programmes. Mine go back to 1990 - before that I think my non football supporting brother kind chap that he is threw them out as he said it was “old stuff”....

Neverthelesss, 624 home programmes and 299 away........all in near perfect nick. Also some old publications, and someone the other week asked why I had “one of those lesser spotted VHS players”.........so here’s some vids and DVD’s in my BFC “stuff”.

Lovely carpet, looks very clean. Take it you have no kids or pets?
Is it a shoes off at the door policy, or is the room rarely used.

The condition of the leather chair suggests no pets or kids

It's quite a collection, Jimmy. Impressive.

The only book I have there is the Ray Simpson one.

I also spotted that but wanted an explanation first.

Least his house won't stink.

You have the Clarets Magazine where Peter Swan talked about staying in a haunted hotel!

I am not sure why but as a nine year old I was obsessed with that article (it was the proof of ghosts existence, why would one of my hero’s in Peter Swan lie to me?).

I find it astonishing how folk react to a bit of mild banter.

In certain professions (Armed Forces) you have to take it or ones life could be made a misery.
