I prefer not to say which one on a public forum! However if you were to search 'london escorts' on Google, it's one of those on the first page. The job consists of writing the girl's profiles as well as erotica etc. Good fun!NRC wrote:Propagandist

So basically, say they're all 'stunning' and 'gorgeous' even if they look like a bag of spanners? That can't be a full time job though.IndigoLake wrote:The job consists of writing the girl's profiles as well as erotica etc. Good fun!

Re: What do you do for a Living ?
Well that's really a matter of opinion - most of them are attractive. After all, rates are from £150 an hour. It's one of the UK's top escort agencies.FactualFrank wrote:So basically, say they're all 'stunning' and 'gorgeous' even if they look like a bag of spanners? That can't be a full time job though.
It's not quite full-time hours. It's typically 25-30 hours per week - creating new content as well as editing existing content for SEO etc takes a fair amount of time. Keeping a site on the first page of Google does take a lot of work.

Re: What do you do for a Living ?
That's interesting! I think escort agencies tend to be largely online businesses. The girls are sort of 'freelance' and the agency has little contact with them apart from the initial interview and when a booking is made. With much of the business being online they tend to hire freelancers online too. This London agency is not the first I've worked for - one of my first writing contracts was with a Singapore escort agency.Jambo wrote:I'm also a freelance writer. Are you a full-time writer, Jambo?

Re: What do you do for a Living ?
I've got my own websites top of Google for 100k+ a month search terms and I know one thing - writing for SEO doesn't work. You write to appear natural, not to suit Google. They can (and do) change their algorithm like the escorts change their knickers. Write to appease the visitor, not to suit a search engine. Keeping a site on the first page of Google doesn't take a lot of work if you don't try and trick them. Been top for 3 years on some mega popular keywords and not changed the pages since.IndigoLake wrote:Well that's really a matter of opinion - most of them are attractive. Re: What do you do for a Living ?
That's most certainly not the case. I've done SEO for escort agencies and I know how they work. It's no way as simple as you suggest. There's security (sometimes they also act as drivers); people who book for a laugh, like people do for a pizza so the woman turns up and there's nobody there; girls who say they are working and then say they can't - there's loads of reasons. They aren't freelance if they're with an agency. That's the whole point really - the agency gets them the work.IndigoLake wrote:That's interesting! Re: What do you do for a Living ?
You're wrong on multiple counts. Writing for SEO does work if you know what you're doing. Of course Google changes how it assesses websites over time. However writing clear content with links, using key words etc certainly helps. The proof is in the pudding - the website I work on is on the first page of Google, simple as that.FactualFrank wrote:I've got my own websites top of Google for 100k+ a month search terms and I know one thing - writing for SEO doesn't work. What's more, keeping a site on the first page of Google can take a great deal of work, particularly for very competitive keywords. If you've not updated your site for years then I'd suggest your keyword isn't that competitive.
