***Spot the Ball - NEW Associate Members Cup - Spot the Ball***
As the Qualifying Rounds for the F.A. Cup come to an end, Spot has come up with an idea (NO, it doesn't involve the Collie from the Village)
Some folk are going to be mightily cheesed off when the results are revealed tomorrow. Some of the Groups are very tight indeed.
So, to keep things going for EVERYONE, Spot has devised a new "ASSOCIATE MEMBERS CUP"
Anyone who doesn't make it through to the last 16 (that's 24 of you) will automatically go into the Associate Members Cup
Obviously, 24 is not the best number to create a Knock-Out competition so there will be 4 new Groups of 6
These players will complete 3 Rounds with the top 2 from each Group going into the "Last 8"
The images will be the same as for the F.A. Cup. It will last a week or two longer to complete that's all.
It is just an idea at this stage.
Any thoughts??

I shall play a weakened team in the AMC and treat it as a learning ground for future attempts at the main Cup. Which reminds me I must email my final weekly guess for embarrassment purposes!

Not your fault, you do a fantastic job. Just I only get my laptop a few times a week, and not at all last Friday so missed it. Same with the racing nap league Sunday, although like spot predictions as was no where near after 2 days so didn't matter.RalphCoatesComb wrote:I'd like to apologise for making it difficult for people.

Nicknamed the "Losers Cup"
You are doing an excellent job there Ralph, even giving the losers a lift, that is if you do it that is

Not sure if I fancy being classed as a loser but as I'll probably end up in it guess I'll go with it

I much preferred last seasons simple, stable and consitent format as I said on the other thread Ralph, to many changes this season for me in the completion, entry method and deadline.
Just my two penny worth.

Re: ***Spot the Ball - NEW Associate Members Cup - Spot the Ball***
Sounds a bit like the Europa league. I'd prefer it if you could just fix the scores so I get through the group. It will save the embarrassment of having to play in this "losers" league

Hmmmmmm. Spot is wagging his tail. You may be onto something there.Dazzler wrote:How about the last 16 losers joining in the knockout stage?
We can then go straight into the Last 32 of the Associate Members Cup without having to have more Group stages.
Yep, liking that !

Normally it is a plate, when those in the first round get knocked out.
Having considered how important Spot is in this whole process, how about the Dog's Bowl.

I'm in too since it is highly likely I won't make the grade for the knockout. Looks like the "Dog's Bowl" has stuck.
