The Democratic convention in 1968 was held in Chicago and there were running battles between Mayor Daley's police and hippy democrat supporters. Graham Nash wrote a protest song imploring the other members of Crosby Stills Nash and Young to come and witness the events.

After alcohol had been taken, I thought this song could be adopted by BFC supporters. Here is my suggestion:
"So the directors are local lads,
Though some now live elsewhere,
Won't you please come to Turf Moor just to see,
In a region known for football,
How can our small town club compare?
Won't you please come to Burnley just to see.
We have changed our team,
Rearranged our team.
If you believe in teamwork,
If you believe in framework
It's really getting better."
I'll sup up and get mi coat.
A song for Burnley... "Chicago" CSNY
