Yeah, I'm not keen either. You're not being dragged around the shops this weekend are you? If you are, god speed.

I hope Buxton isn't going hungry without his usual Saturday afternoon snack from Spades.

Wouldn't be so bad if the national team were worth it, as it is, they are useless. Our club football needlessly grinds to a pointless halt to accomodate these clowns. Ineviatably we'll crash out of the tournament and the boring media frenzy will begin once again. Bloody groundhog day or what.
SIXTY years since they won their one and only competition !!!! why ***** bother ?

Those last few overs were far from boring, great bowling at the death.

Ashington - this space cadet does not know what planet he is on. Am not sure what he is talking about, we won the World Cup 50 years ago not SIXTY but arithmetic is not his strength either.

Re: God, I'm Bored
Is it the cricket (don't follow it) that continues during international periods?
If the football were to continue it would be a good leveller and would also give younger/squad players a chance.
I personally view the international football as an unwelcome nuisance

Are you even a football fan?
You don't half put some tripe on this board.
By the way we we won 2-3..
- against the current World Champions on their own patch.
We played well and it was a young experimental side.
We have lost one game in the last 18.
This is how we came through the qualifying group..
1 England 10 10 0 0 31 3 +28 30
Ten wins from ten [you can only beat what's in front of you].
You're a strange character alright.
Please keep any pronouncements you might have for BFC until the end of the season, to yourself.

Suppose it's a bit better this time with the Clarets players interest.
But still the pits.

I'm confused now.
Was this last year's o/p?
Only asking, as I've loosened my belt a notch again.

Re: God, I'm Bored
We're in the middle of Grapefruit League baseball over here, which is the pre-season for baseball. A lot of people go south at this time of the year, with the excuse that they're going to see their beloved Blue Jays, but it's really just to go and lie on the beach. Besides, half of the players won't even make the regular season roster. What's more boring, a full-on test match in cricket, or watching some guy who's going to end up in New Hampshire (that's AA ball) pitch the bottom of the ninth in a pre-season 11-2 game?
