Imagine going into Tesco and picking up some bread. Then you move on to the milk which is fully-stocked. "No!", says Mr. Tesco, "There's no milk."

"But there is!"

"Well there might be but our tills can't cope with two products at once and I've been programmed after a boozy Friday lunchtime so I blurt out incorrect and inappropriate messages."

"OK... I guess... I'll pay for them separately"

"No can do."

" So what? I buy the bread then come back here for the milk?"

"Don't get smart!"

"What then?!?"

"You'll have to leave the shop and come back in separately"

"Whatever..."

"Oh and you'll have to wait in a queue before re-entering what with our attention to the customer's need having brought such heavy footfall... Oh and you can ignore the signs that say this year's products aren't currenlty (sic) on sale even though they are. Thanks for coming!"

It told me there were no Huddersfield tickets when I had Man U tickets in my basket. When I'd finalised the Man U order and paid, it asked me if I wanted more tickets. This then booted me out into the queue. Then there were Huddersfield tickets.

It didn't tell you that, you thought that was the case. You can place tickets for one game into your basket, go and get the other and then pay in one transaction. I'm assuming that's what everyone else is doing.

Whatever you say. You were clearly there.

Either it's an issue of OS/device or I did click things in a different order than other people - but it did result in an incorrect error message and clicking to buy more tickets logged me out and put me in the queue.

I put my order in initially for Huddersfield and was told it was sold out. Refreshed it twice and they appeared again and purchased them.

Huddersfield Sold Out already? :o

It's hard work though. I've gone to the trouble of collecting family member's Clarets Numbers so that I can order Man United tickets for us all, and it wants me to register every single person now with email addresses etc. A couple are over 70 and have never touched a computer in their life, let alone have an email address. Why can't it just ask for the full name of the person the number belongs to?

Bought Utd tickets fine. However, it does seem that the Huddersfield tickets on the site is screwed up. After buying Utd it showed the Huddersfield tickets as sold out. So I looked on here and saw other people having issues. I switched browser and the Huddersfield tickets appear, however, I'm trying to buy 6 and when I put that in it says there are only 3 available, when I reduce the number it then says that it's sold out, and is all greyed out. So I go and check on my ipad and again the tickets are available, I can go through to purchase but only if I have 1 ticket. Now if I do that for all 6 tickets via friends and family then it'll be 6 separate orders and the chances are we won't be sitting next to each other, the whole point of me buying for 6 people! Not good enough really.

How does the friends and family option work.
Do you put quantity of more than one and then does it ask for their clarets number before proceeding.
Just a general question as I have never used that option before

Your friends & family accounts need to be linked to your account

When you select the tickets you want you then have to choose the relevant account name/number to use against that ticket.

For example when I get tickets for me, my brother & Dad, who is a senior, I choose 2 adult & 1 senior ticket then select their accounts for them

Friends and family works like this.

They need to have an activated online account
You need to add them into your f+f part of your account. You need their clarets number, surname and postcode.
You request the amount of tickets you need.
You then go to a screen where it asks you to allocate the f+f member against a ticket.
I guess it then does the check to see if they have the right points and you can buy the ticket.

when I tried it didn’t let me put more than one ticket in in step 3 above therefore no FF came up then just showed up sold out , last time this happened they released more and i didn’t know about it (Swansea away)

Cheers for that wilks, would be nice to understand how many or what proportion of tickets get released on line, so that it is easier to gauge when to apply for those of us who live away from the town.

Gutted about the Huddersfield game. It's my own fault, totally lost track of time and forgot about this. Can't get to club shop tomorrow as I'm off to Bournemouth so I'll be missing this one.

Guess thats one of the downsides of supporting a top 7 Premier League team.
Never had problems getting tickets to Hartlepool away in the good old days.
