Visiting Uk for a white Christmas
My wife and I have decided for a white Christmas this year . we are taking flight on the 16 December to land at Heathrow the next day . We shall stay with my son in law who is a consultant in Cardiology and now settled in Cardiff .We shall plan our visit to England as from there .
I would wish to visit some Clarets who are living in that part of Wales . If possible I would love to watch a match of Burnley .On the 11 january I would be back as I am receiving some Claret fans in Mauritius . I am providing lodging free of charge in my seaside apartment at Poste Lafayette .
other Claret fans are welcome . My email adress is : mungurbhurdwaz@hotmail.com

Is the New year's day game sold out?
If so and you are in the Burnley area Dave, I will donate you my season tickets so you can attend the match.
That would be 2 tickets in the Cricketfield Stand. If you want them, then they are yours, and of course free of charge.

I'd be happy to miss 1 game, so he can visit the Turf, watch us live and experience something we take for granted every other Saturday.

Davemanu has given me and my wife his apartment in mauritius for 2 weeks in january , i have offered him my season tickets for a game whilst he is over here and am willing to go and bring him to burnley from cardiff. Is there is anyone who could contact the club and try and make it a special day for him ?

Re: Visiting Uk for a white Christmas
Just tweeted the club with a link to this thread Dave should be treated like royalty for the day in my opinion. If there’s anything I can do to help I will - I’m happy to drive him up for the day if needed - I know Cardiff ain’t exactly next door to Milton Keynes but it’s a drive I do regularly so it’s no bother

I hope Dave sees some snow and we reward him with a win that he hopefully can watch. Some photos on the Turf or in the Bridge before the game would be brilliant on the board.

It would be nice if someone (Ashy I think knows best) could get his story on here and then to the club.
Didn't he become a Burnley fan because of a touring Burnley side in the fifties?

Great suggestion.RalphCoatesComb wrote:If you do the half time draw, you won't need a ticket
And, of course, Bhurdwaz's choice, but it may be that the directors could find him a couple of seats in the directors' box.
"Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow." But, not so much that the game is called off!
UTC
Of course, when it gets out that we have fans in Mauritius, we might lose the "little old Burnley" tag.

Re: Visiting Uk for a white Christmas
Thank you all for offering me your tickets . if ever i would come to your beautiful town ,I would come alone . My wife is not an amateur of football . But she knows that my favourite English club is Burnley .
i am not coming to St albans as my brother in law is in Mauritius .
I would be ever grateful to any Claret who can bring me to Burnley for the match on New Year Day .
it is a fact that i became a Burnley fan when they visited Mauritius in 1954 . i was too young and I could not afford to travel to King Geoege V Stadium to any of their six matches they played here .
Only yesterday i sent about 30 greeting cards to the Chaiman ,other staff and leading players of Burnley who are engaged in PL matches . i do it almost every year because i love BURNLEY FC .
the first time when I came to Burnley I was greeted by late Frank Teasdale . i visited the club ,had a nice conversation to all you greeted me ,interviewed by Burnley Express and got a civic reception from the Mayor of Burnley .
i still have a nice photo of Turf Moor .
It was Mr Mik Stevens who received me on my second visit . I stayed at his place for two nights . he brought me to Turf Moor for a match which we drew .it was when we played in the second division .
Mr Stevens is really a gentleman

davemanu might have to hop on a train to somewhere a bit easier to get too, which means I can grab him on the way past.
He's 2hrs 30mins away from me in Didcot, chuck in the drive to Burnley and it's going to be about 6hrs driving on New yrs day.
