Has Sean Dyche ever had it so good?
For many of us, we've never had it so good.
I strongly suspect that is the same for our Sean. (And long may it continue)
So, why would he ever consider leaving until his job is fully done here ?

I think he will go at the end of the season.
And he will leave here an eternal legend. A manager we talk about until our dying days.

I agree with ClaretMoffitt. I feel this will be his final season, but will leave us in an incredible position to go even futher than perhaps he could take us. It is possible.

Dyche will go down in history as a Claret legend, two guys predicting he will leave us at the end of the season,ok guys where is he going? I think he will want a crack at Europe with us,so I think it will be he season after the next one when he leaves.
Re: Has Sean Dyche ever had it so good?
The only way you'll go further than this is with a backer willing to facilitate it financially, I.e. not your current ones.FactualFrank wrote:I agree with ClaretMoffitt. Re: Has Sean Dyche ever had it so good?
We've already proven to over half of the PL that you don't need a financial backer to play well and get into the top half of the table.Saxoman wrote:

We've also proven you don't need to pay stupid wages to do it either.
It's all about getting value for money from the players, managing/coaching them well and instilling some self belief.
Dyche doesn't mess about with prima Donnas either.
The board and manager also share a similar vision and there's very little friction or rumours of it from within the club.
If we can maintain our run of form until the end of the season I fully expect some club owners to take a long hard look at what they're paying out in wages and see if they're getting value for money.

If we maintain our current progress I think he and his backroom team will stay a little longer.

So the £100 million written off by the Trust and a further £100 million plus invented by the Venkys and you're in league 1...Saxoman wrote:Just telling you how it is.

Re: Has Sean Dyche ever had it so good?
I would have to agree with Juan further up the thread - where exactly do we think he's going to go ?
Everton overlooked him
Leicester overlooked him
Palace overlooked him
Do we really think he'll end up somewhere like Arsenal ??
There are no other teams in the PL that are worse than us currently that would be looking for a manager anytime soon. He's not likely to go abroad. I just don't see many options for him in the near future (fortunately)

Depends. If by some miracle we finished in the top four why would he leave?FactualFrank wrote:I agree with ClaretMoffitt. I feel this will be his final season, but will leave us in an incredible position to go even futher than perhaps he could take us. It is possible.

Re: Has Sean Dyche ever had it so good?
Valid point. There is the possibility that we finish so high up, that there is no realistic open door to go to, but I always have in the back of mind that people in professional football go where the money is - 99 times out of 100. I don't feel there is any loyalty in football anymore, I think that's now pretty much gone from the game.Spijed wrote:Depends. If by some miracle we finished in the top four why would he leave?

If we finish in a Europa league place, then surely other clubs will finally take notice of him?
But yeah, if we finish in a Europa League Place (which would be amazing considering our squad and our injury list) then I think he'd fancy a go at that

Re: Has Sean Dyche ever had it so good?
The quality of SD is to continue to improve players and the club as a whole. The improvement of the squad never more clear than yesterday with the first team players missing. I do not feel that we will be looking to bring in many p!Ayers in January but we do need to back him whoever he targets. If that brings a top tern finish or better, with a good summer who knows what ambition he will have for the club? I do not see too many better options for him in Premiership, as long as he considers progress is still possible.

Re: Has Sean Dyche ever had it so good?
I think we need more cover at ch, but everything looks good for us right now.
It’s onky a few weeks ago some were skriking about us not “replacing” Keane. Tarka steps in and all’s well. Mee out injured and there are rumblings about long not being up to it. Hell, I was even a little worried myself, but Kevin long steps up and performs admirably. I think by now SD has earned our trust hasn’t he?

Is Saxo mates with ABC?
That bellsniff is always claiming Dyche must leave to get anywhere in life yet here we are in 7th but only due to goal difference or we'd be 5th ..

Re: Has Sean Dyche ever had it so good?
I think if we continue to make a good fist of this season the heart of our team could be ripped out in the summer as the vultures gather for several of the better players in our squad (Tarks, Mee, Sam, Ashley Hendrick will all be in their last year of contract, Deano and Scotty are OOC and JBG Defour in last year although we have an option to extend). When the moneybags come a knocking heads get turned so even Jack Cork may not be safe. If that is the situation if I were SD I think I might consider a move to where fewer vultures would gather as it must be a pain in the butt to keep losing out on the top players in your squad.

But SD is on record as saying he will not be motivated by money and that he is in the fortunate position where he has more than enough. No doubt has a better grasp of reality than very young players who have greedy agents in their ears.FactualFrank wrote:Valid point. It's been said recently that, Everton spent more on transfers in the summer, than Burnley have spent in their entire history.Saxoman wrote:The only way you'll go further than this is with a backer willing to facilitate it financially, I.e. not your current ones.
Why don't you concentrate on the lower leagues. You no longer dine at the big boys table.

Really. So which winger do we have to come in if JBG or Arfield gets Injured? How do we freshen up in game on the wing like every other team can? Hell fire we had freddie on the bench yesterday.
We are doing so well and I don't want to get caught like we have before with a lack of cover in key roles. We need a cb, 2 wingers and a nr 10.
I could make an argument for 2 cbs as Tarks is so good that we will do well to keep him.

Why would he leave to start building a team all over again somewhere else? If it was Arsenal I could see the attraction...anywhere else and he'd be gone he wouldn't get the time.

You hadn't said.
And there's zero chance of Tarkowski leaving in Jan.

Never has anyone so lacked self-awareness. Your club hasn't got a pot to p1ss in. It languishes in football's "where are they now" file. It's the only club to have its name engraved on the premier league trophy and end up in the 3rd division!
You're not telling anyone how anything is.
You're simply talking absolute and utter sh1te.

Re: Has Sean Dyche ever had it so good?
I don't necessarily disagree that another body in that area could be under consideration but we had 3 recognised wingers less than a week ago and I can list the following who have either played wide before or could cover there for us:summitclaret wrote:Really. Hendrick
Barnes
Wells
Defour
Taylor
Walters
Dyche has built a framework which allows players to step in and do a job. I fully believe he's identified players that can cover in other areas as required. No way would he have let Boyd go without feeling comfortable in that position. He loved Boyd.
