It certainly beats being sat in the Cricket Field Stand watching 9-man Rochdale turn us over 1-0 in Division 4, `looking forward` to getting drenched on the walk back to my dad`s car. THOSE WERE THE DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Excellent post, when you read it, it does take you back to the bad old days, but Burnley is a proud town alright with the best fans from near and far, i too love the comment about the 3 wheeled lorry, keep the stories coming in folks

Perhaps Burnley Council could be persuaded to alter the signs coming into Burnley to:

BURNLEY
twinned with
VITRY-SUR-SEINE
and
PROUDSVILLE
