Thankful for half time. Come on Burnley, need to be much better than this. Be a shame to waste a good opportunity to pull clear of some below us!

on the positive side I don't think Brighton have got much more, we've played at about 10% of what we are. Truly woeful first half from us. Hendrick off and Barnes on at Half time for me then on 60 I'd bring Vokes on. I'm gonna say this now, unless Wood starts to use his physicality then I can see Barnes or Vokes starting away games very soon, I don't care how much we paid for him he needs to do far better.

Calm down guys. Perfect away performance. I'm shocked you are all shocked.
Hendrick is doing fine. Ash will come on after 65mins, sorted.

Wells or Barnes for arfield. Go 433 with Wells, Wood and Gudmundsson as the front 3. Take the game to them. This has been shocking.

You know you`re not allowed to suggest any of our players are having a `bad` game, don`t you??? Fully concur with your `removal` of Hendrick though. However, to be fair , the whole `attacking unit` have done bugger all so far.

COME ON BURNLEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Disgusting cheating from Murray to con the ref for the penalty.

You can see him actually kicking his leg backwards and deliberately hooking it around Tarks' legs.

Referees really need to wise up on this.

It's a free kick to Burnley for a) kicking Tarks b) ungentlemanly conduct.

At least they didn't profit it from it but Murray should be on a yellow now.

For all Brighton's dominance they've only had two shots on target.

It's not about the price, it's just that wood is a better player overall

I cannot imagine our leader allowing that to carry on in the second half. Beginning to think Hendrick has a photo of Dyche in flagrante - he’s been dreadful recently.

We couldn't get near Brighton in the first half, their intensity was very good and they pressed us well. We're very narrow today, but I'm not sure what we have on the bench can affect that.

Barnes and Wells and go 442 for me.

His hold up play has been far better than we were getting from Ash or Sam but he's been off his best the last two games.

Murray should get a retrospective ban, he purposefully instigated the contact to engineer a penalty. Tarks is a bit riled, and needed half time. And Wood either needs to get a grip and start putting himself about amongst their CBs a bit more, or come off. Very disappointing so far from him

Quality should be measured by the effect. Wood has been completely ineffective for quite a while now

If Murray was to get a retrospective ban I’d be worried about them reviewing the “dig in the ribs” Tarky gave him shortly after

Woods does seem to have gone off the boil recently, post-New Zealand`s failed attempt to reach the World Cup. The same could also be said for Hendrick, who for me has been anonymous (maybe unfair to single him out though).

We can only improve AND WILL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I say it every single game, Barnes buys free kicks - he gets us at least another 10 yards up the pitch. In games like this when we aren't retaining possession we really do need to play percentages, nothing whatsoever against Hendrick but Barnes will be far more effective.

Tarkowski was a very naughty boy there with the elbow to the ribs (clearly retribution for the penalty). He will get done for that. He`ll be able to enjoy some Christmas turkey. Long`ll have to cancel his double helpings.

It`ll Vokes and Barnes on around the 65-min mark if it doesn`t change. Defour and Cork though do need to step it up.

You're right Wilks.

What chances Tarks would be more likely to get a retrospective ban than Murray! So far, I'd be quite happy for the FA to consign this game to history without ever reviewing anything!

Edit: In fact I'm very happy to consign that 1st 45 now!
