Wonder what allocation we’ve taken? Always a good day out a London away day and I would be surprised if we didn’t sell close to 3,000 if we have had a decent Christmas.

Re: 2017/18: Crystal Palace v Burnley – Ticket Information
We took 1,343 last season but we took a smaller allocation than the 2014/15 season when we had 1,846 there. No idea what we've asked for this time but given the last two Saturday away games (Leicester & Brighton) I wouldn't imagine we'd go for the bigger allocation.1989_claret wrote:Wonder what allocation we’ve taken? Re: 2017/18: Crystal Palace v Burnley – Ticket Information
Unfortunately as long as we've taken 1500 tickets think that should be enough for this one. It's probably one of our least attractive away games all season with the timing being in January when everyone is skint and following away games at United, Huddersfield and City.

Yes could only see us bringing a big following if we have an excellent run of results over Christmas otherwise as you say many will find it difficultjrgbfc wrote:Unfortunately as long as we've taken 1500 tickets think that should be enough for this one. Re: 2017/18: Crystal Palace v Burnley – Ticket Information
Was told by the ticket office that we've only taken a very small allocation this time
Re: 2017/18: Crystal Palace v Burnley – Ticket Information
Just logged on to buy tickets from 5pm and now showing sold out? Surely not?
Re: 2017/18: Crystal Palace v Burnley – Ticket Information
Surely 1,500 on sale or return, then the other 1,500 are full payment.
I'd say 1,500 is about right, and can't complain if the club have opted for the first figure

Re: 2017/18: Crystal Palace v Burnley – Ticket Information
Tried it at 4:59 and it was available then sold out at 5:01. Either they are sold out, or it's a software problem
Re: 2017/18: Crystal Palace v Burnley – Ticket Information
Bought 3 today severely restricted viewing left
Re: 2017/18: Crystal Palace v Burnley – Ticket Information
Hopefully it's an IT error. I only live 5 miles away and the only reason I bought a season ticket this year was so I didn't miss out on games like this!
Re: 2017/18: Crystal Palace v Burnley – Ticket Information
If we can take over 1,000 to Bournemouth on a Wednesday night just before Christmas, surely 1,500 is minimum, looks like I’ll miss out .

Hi joey13, there is still over 2 weeks to go. I hope the club take a second allocation like they did for the Brighton game. Hopefully we'll still meet you there!joey13 wrote:If we can take over 1,000 to Bournemouth on a Wednesday night just before Christmas, surely 1,500 is minimum, looks like I’ll miss out .

Missed out on my Foundation ticket as the allocation sold out in less than 3 hours. Apparently it's the most popular game of the season as the majority of Foundation members are in Surrey ( munching prawn sandwiches)
Said the club will consider another allocation if the demand is there

Surely we’ll get more if it’s sold out this early? We did the same bloody thing a with the Leicester game, was fuming when I saw the empty seats on TV.
Re: 2017/18: Crystal Palace v Burnley – Ticket Information
I spoke to the Foundation office today they said they thought highly unlikely they will request more. It is a joke they get the ticketing so wrong so often.

Re: 2017/18: Crystal Palace v Burnley – Ticket Information
Not surprised we have sold out. I said we would need to take more tickets than the initial allocation for Brighton and again it shows we should have taken more. We may not have sold the full 3,000 but we'd probably sold 2,200 leaving the club with a bill of £24,000 which isn't the end of the world now that we have virtually secured Premier League football and the riches which come with it.

Re: 2017/18: Crystal Palace v Burnley – Ticket Information
Blame lies squarely with the inter club system of charging each other up front for thousands of tickets. I'm sure we do exactly the same to other clubs but it just causes the fans to miss out and ends up with lower revenues
Re: 2017/18: Crystal Palace v Burnley – Ticket Information
So frustrating. Probably won't bother renewing my season ticket next season if I can't even get a ticket for a game like this.

We don't do it, but it is not in our interests to do it.Croydon Claret wrote:Blame lies squarely with the inter club system of charging each other up front for thousands of tickets. Re: 2017/18: Crystal Palace v Burnley – Ticket Information
If we've sold out so quick bet we haven't even taken 1500.
Re: 2017/18: Crystal Palace v Burnley – Ticket Information
Ticket Office messing up with allocations again
I’m not even shocked. Someone needs sacking down there, totally inept. Another thousand or so fans missing out on supporting our team away from home.

Re: 2017/18: Crystal Palace v Burnley – Ticket Information
Just a heads up for people living local to Burnley who might want a ticket for Palace - - I called at the ticket office at lunchtime today(Thursday) to ask if I could leave my contact details in case any tickets got returned for the Palace game.
I was pleasantly surprised to be told that it was only the online allocation which had sold out and they were still available for people calling at the ticket office.
I know that isn't much use to people living at the other side of the country but if you know someone who could call at Turf Moor for you then you still might get a ticket.

Perhaps they have stopped online sales because of post-Christmas post however, there should be better communication from the club across social platforms and the website.

Re: 2017/18: Crystal Palace v Burnley – Ticket Information
If they've sold out before they even hit general season ticket holders they really didn't learn from the farce at Leicester. It looks like the club is still prioritising the potential risk of losing a small amount of cash against fans being able to watch the match.
As for calling the ticket office, no-one bothers answering.
We've improved in many ways but the communication from the club is still very poor in many areas.

Surely the club must know that there are a sizeable number of people with clarets numbers based in the south. Really hope we take more tickets

Just been to the ticket office. They still have a fair number of restricted view tickets available.

Will have to do what I regularly have to nowadays and buy from the home club. How ridiculous is that? Supported the club for 55 years but have to give my money to Spurs, Crystal Palace, Brighton etc.

Re: 2017/18: Crystal Palace v Burnley – Ticket Information
Always makes me chuckle when it's mentioned that they'll wait to see if there is any demand/interest for more tickets but there's no way of registering interest in a ticket if the first allocation is sold out.
Any other retail site lets you register to be told when an item is available again, the same process can be used for tickets and for the club to gauge if there is demand....
It isn't rocket science.

Certainly be a good idea for the ticket office to map the postcodes of potential ticket buyers (including ST, Foundation and others who buy).JohnDearyMe wrote:Surely the club must know that there are a sizeable number of people with clarets numbers based in the south. We sold out at Chelsea in both 2016 and Aug 2017. We were well supported at Brighton and good support (though small ground) at Bournemouth.
I don't get this "just had 3 away games" at ManU, Huddersfield and ManC. Those aren't big travel cost games if you live in/around Burnley, and tickets at £30 (max) is a lot cheaper than £55 at Chelsea a few seasons back.
As Croydon says, good support in the S.East - clarets in exile!
PS: I got my 2 tickets for Palace - buying in the first 30 mins. (Phew).

With Palace you need to sign up to their members club and pay a fee of £25 I think and that's before you get a ticket.
I looked last season when we sold out quickly.

And, anyone who hasn't been at Selhurst before - the stand roof cuts out view of ball in the air - and from up in the corner of the stand you can't see the line down to the corner flag in the other end.aggi wrote:Just been to the ticket office. Worth it for our fiirst away victory last time.

Restricted view tickets now for sale online.

Anyone sat in these restricted view seats before? How poor is the view? Trying to decide whether to buy them or wait in case a further allocation is released. Would welcome any views - excuse the pun.burnmark wrote:Restricted view tickets now for sale online.

Finally got through to the ticket office today. They werent picking up on their direct number but they answered straight away when i was put through by reception.
They told me there will be no more tickets apart from these restricted views. Just bought 2.
If there are tickets that we havent taken then that just shows again that we are a Premier League club with League 1 operations.

It's £30 for non-restricted view which is what you get from the pics. The restricted view tickets is where one of the goals is blocked.Sidney1st wrote:£28 for that view?

So we sold the first allocation in 6 days which included Xmas Eve, Xmas day and Boxing Day and the game was 17 days away at that and we don’t take more? Is Hoos back?

Re: 2017/18: Crystal Palace v Burnley – Ticket Information
I've no idea how many we've taken and I don't know what restrictions would have been in place had we taken more. We are, however, collecting as much information as we can to take to the club because it is clear from the speed of sales that we are more than capable of selling more. Obviously Man U & Huddersfield, we took the max. Leicester is still the one that I find difficult to accept.BleedingClaret wrote:So we sold the first allocation in 6 days which included Xmas Eve, Xmas day and Boxing Day and the game was 17 days away at that and we don’t take more? Re: 2017/18: Crystal Palace v Burnley – Ticket Information
Oh - how annoying if we’ve taken a smaller allocation than we could have, and no more are made available. I logged on shortly after they went on general sale tonight to find it sold out. It’s my 50th birthday that weekend and my wife had booked a London hotel and train from Soith Wales on the assumption that tickets wouldn’t be a problem (she’s not a fan and tickets for the Swansea away games in recent years have been easy to get).
I know it’s a long shot, but if tickets are indeed still available at the ticket office and can get us a couple, or anybody has a pair but can’t go I’d be chuffed to bits.
