Because they've had a few injuries, and struggled with the bigger pitch at Wembley which undermines the benefit of their team work. Unfortunately for us, they had a couple of players back (Sanchez back meant Dier in midfield, screening the out-ball) and the pitch at Turf Moor suit Spurs down to the ground, whilst our style - disciplined, relatively structured in possession, etc. - plays into Spurs' hands in a way that, say, Leicester's pacey counter-attack doesn't.

Pope 6 poor kicking but great technique 1 v1
Bardsley 6 slow and not as god as Lowts but ok though rather has look of a low league do or die defender
Long 4 terrible pen decision but struggled
Mee 5 poor game and but lost without a high quality partner
Taylor 6 did well to cover Arfields lapses and I think he could really develop
Gudmundsson 6 huffed n puffed but patchy at best
Cork 5 over run in mid and touch a bit sloppy
Defour 7 cut above the rest
Hendrick 5 yet another lacklustre show from him
Arfield 5 a true claret warrior but outclassed and shouldn’t be anywhere but the bench ( in an ideal world)
Wood 5 had nowt to feed on as is often the case misses Brady

Barnes 6 did his thing but Ash up front against works class players is basically absurd
Vokes 6 should have had goal but again little to feed on without crosses
