To the man sat behind us...
Today there was man behind us who didn't seem like a regular in the seat behind us who was hurling abuse at Scott Arfield. If you are reading this, then realise that this man has been pivotal in both Championship seasons (think he scored 20 goals and got 20 assists in those two seasons as a wide midfielder) and you still find the need to give the abuse you gave him and saying you want to shoot him and get him out of the club. So, show him the respect he deserves as he is one of the most passionate players for the club and become a real supporter and support our players and not slate them for 90 minutes. Get a fu**ing grip.

Re: To the man sat behind us...
hes entitled to his opinion anyway, he could have took his pick today for players deserving a bit of stick.
Re: To the man sat behind us...
I heard someone similar in CFS.
I turned round and said “what you expect this is an amazing spurs team F off you crank”
You should have done the same rather than moaning on here

Scott was poor today and bottled our of several 50/50
Balls but shooting him is a bit strong .
Perhaps replacing him with Walters at Man U may be a more sensible solution

Re: To the man sat behind us...
I was impressed with them. The speed at which they counter attack is brilliant.
Theyd have beaten far better teams than us today.
Without the refs help.

Uncanny I was about to start a thread entitled to the people in front of me; regailing how I have paid my money and can slag off who I like when I like at what time I like in the manner I like at the volume I like dressed as I like. In fact I started slagging the team off at 3pm when the fookers didn't even turn up,no surprise the crowd got wind of this as they didn't turn up either ,and who could blame them ? :

Re: To the man sat behind us...
Far from an amazing Spurs team, just a very poor Burnley one.
Spurs are a one man show and that is Harry Kane.
How many chances do the other duck eggs need to finish us off, it should have been 0-5 at half time.
We showed to night that we seriously lack strength in depth and our injuries are now starting to bite

Re: To the man sat behind us...
But you said a poor Burnley TEAM, Top Claret, not performance.
Course it was a poor display.
But are you saying we're a poor TEAM?
Because our League position suggests we're not.

Re: To the man sat behind us...
OK. You win. Should have said a poor display.
Although if we have had Tarks, Ward, Lowton and Brady playing, it would have been a different result against a very wasteful Spurs side

Re: To the man sat behind us...
Spurs had amazing performances right down the spine, from Kane, Sissoko, Sanchez and Oliver.
Then you have the likes of Eriksson who was quiet but can be close to world class.
No, not a night for complaining. Not about us anyway.

Thought Spurs were good but that's the worst I've seen us defensively since West Brom, obviously the injuries/suspensions played a part.

Quite right; the man who sits behind you is a knob. And somebody should tell him.

Re: To the man sat behind us...
There was an oaf four or five rows back from the front of the CFS who was whingeing loudly at the ref and dele alli throughout the game.
Entertaining enough to begin with and then downright embarrassing.

And of course Alli and Oliver did nothing to draw the ire of said oaf did they? Much rather hear that than people slagging off our own players/manager.....evensteadiereddie wrote:There was an oaf four or five rows back from the front of the CFS who was whingeing loudly at the ref and dele alli throughout the game.

Re: To the man sat behind us...
True enough but yelling stuff that was just about coherent for the whole 90 minutes was plain stupid. Not once did he yell any encouragement to the lads - the nearest being "someone get something on Alli" whatever that may mean. Embarrassing.

Re: To the man sat behind us...
Folk who abuse our heroes are just ignorant, negative numskulls. Abusing the manager - probably need a brain transplant, as no one will ever satisfy them. Any wife would have gone or be fed up listening to their ignorant bile.
We are blessed to have such players at Burnley and 7th in the Prem at Christmas is a real winter wonderland. If we just scrape 40 points at the end of the season, it will still be a success. However, we are well beyond that in every way.
Thank you to players, management and directors for so many great achievements. Thank you to virtually every member of the fans who stood and applauded our heroes off the pitch and sang 'S we love you Burnley, we do'.
A Merry Christmas and above all Happy New Year.
