Disgusting....that should be weeks out...not just 2 or 3 games....could have blinded him with that cowardly kick.

Re: Charlie Austin
A definite red card missed by the ref. It'll be interesting to see the outcome

Re: Charlie Austin
Doesn't look like there's intent in real time. Looks dodgy slowed down but his body language screams accident to me.

Re: Charlie Austin
3 match retrospective ban. He won’t have meant it but you can’t go booting someone in the head when he’s got full control over the ball like that.

Re: Charlie Austin
he did mean it 100 percent....its like when you overrun the ball and you fly in 2 footed....spur of the moment thing and not saying the intent was to cause harm but nevertheless it was a conscious action and not just an accident....you wouldn't have seen lineker do it....shearer perhaps.
Re: Charlie Austin
He was never getting the ball and the keeper had it in his arms before Austin begins to "stretch" for the ball. Deliberate. Disgusting. He deserves his injury and hopefully out for a while.

Re: Charlie Austin
Does he play for a top six club?
No?
Retrospective ban coming then.

Re: Charlie Austin
I've not seen it so can't comment but he's been charged with violent conduct by the FA this morning.

I doubt there will be any charge, the pundits are now supporting him, such as those on MOTD.Darthlaw wrote:Like clockwork.

Being a football fan is reminiscent of the personal accounts people give of living in the Soviet Union.
Everybody knows what's actually going on, everybody knows the official accounts of incidents are nonsensical excuses and yet the charade continues.

Re: Charlie Austin
The ref saw and talked to Austin at the time.
He's going to be out a few weeks anyway

Whilst I would like to defend him, I cannot. Poor challenge that’s correctly punished.

As we know if Match of the day want your blood, all of a sudden the Ref didn't see it, and the FA give a ban. Especially if you play for a club challenging their precious 6.
