Its excellent. But it should be 9 really.

And but for an inept referee it would be.

This is why I am so incandescent with rage about that penalty decision.

My eyes are firmly on that prize as I have made clear on here numerous times. The chance to see me beloved club in European competition could never happen again, if we miss out by a point or two when decisions like that have gone against us it would be heartbreaking.

....no, it would just be typical. There's always been a certain inevitability about how things will turn out with Burnley and a typical one or two point miss out on a Europa League place would be entirely consistent with the fate that usually befalls us (and refused penalty decisions are all part of that). Nothing to get too worked up about - it's just the way it is.

Generally yes, due to teams that have already qualified for European competition via league position (i.e, City, Chelsea, United, Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool) winning one or both of the two domestic trophies - which gives those Europa League positions to the next best league finishers.

I think the understanding I have now from the last time this came up on here is that 7th generally always gets a Europa League position, and often 8th does as well.

It works both ways - both Palace and Stoke should have at least drawn against us. I don't think we should have any more points than we currently have.

Robbed of at least three points this season via penalty decisions against Arsenal and Huddersfield.
